Why Find A Grave is important to me:

A Mite of Humanity
The Broken Chick
Union Cemetery:

Special thanks to: Duane Heit and Merrill Austin ~ For help with the history of my family in Iowa. And many others who help me piece together my family quilt.

Kudos to Dyanne, Mike, Deb, Jerry, Lane, Christopher, and Ms Lucy for their countless hours of help documenting Union Cemetery!
Special thanks to Jerry, Mike, Leonard, and Deb for transferring their Union memorials to my care.

I believe in credit where credit is due. Those sending information for memorials I manage are linked in the memorials. The helpful nature of Find A Grave volunteers is awesome!

For Union Cemetery: When there is conflicting information about the verified spelling of a name, I will use the spelling on the gravestone inscription. If there is no gravestone, I will use the spelling as shown in the cemetery records unless there is compelling evidence of a different spelling.

** My apologies for any delays in responding to any corrections, suggestions, or other inquiries. I have been very ill since September 2014 and unable to do anything on Find A Grave. I am now recuperating with slow but steady progress, so please hang in there with me. I will work a few hours each day to try to catch up but it will take a while. (11 Feb 2015)

Helen Louise Summers Whitford
Helen died 12 Jun 1904 in Beloit, WI. Her husband, Carlos Whitford, died 26 Sep 1910 Cook Co, IL. Helen's brother in law, Edson Curtis, died 28 Nov 1875 Beloit, from typhoid fever. Edson's brother, Charles, also died 1875 from typhoid. From Edson's obit, it states he was a member of the Beloit Baptist Church (doesn't state which one) by I have the feeling that's where they're buried.

RE: Valentine Fatula
You're very welcome. I went to St. Stephen's to fulfill a photo request and I usually like to take it a step further by photographing all that I can find in that particular cemetery.

Plus, now that my state made our death certificates a matter of public record, I found several Fatula's that were buried there in unmarked graves that were previously unrecorded.

Always glad to be of help!

Dear J F-B,
Thanks for entering so much information on my Parks Family line. I am the Granddaughter of Frances Viola Parks, whose Dad was George W. Parks, whose Dad was Marion Francis Parks. I am also working on the Parks line with my cousin Tom Parks. I am grateful for what you have contributed. Thank you and I also hope you get well soon. Frances "Cindy"(Bergeson) Guymon
