|I have been a member of Find A Grave since the beginning of 2013. I have long had an interest in genealogy and a love of historical research in general.|
When I was 10 years old, my grandfather gave me a copy of the family history he had spent years researching. This sparked my interest, which has continued to this day. Since then I have learned about several branches of my family. I especially enjoy getting in touch with relatives and other people I never would have otherwise.
Family lines I am researching:
George W Stephens
Lewis W Bon
Alita Vadesca (Miss Tita Del Valle)
DAinty Estelle Allen-Vosburgh (Whitman)

My name, my days, my strife;
Then I'll ride upon the wings of time
And live an endless life."

I just saw the marker you placed for 'Momo' and stopped by to leave her a 'flower'. You did a wonderful job and she would have been so pleased at the love you showed, the time, effort and expense you went to, to make sure she will always be remembered. Well done!

I also took photos of Elizabeth who happened to be near to her. I'm glad you liked the photos!

I have a number of articles from the Los Angeles Times about Bertice and some family members. I'll email them to you. Don
If it is a photo of headstone, credit should be to Barbara Adams. If it is a photo of a person - no credit. Thanks!

Per the Find A Grave entries:
Butin is in Lotus, lot 53, grave 3
Conner is in Lotus, lot 53, grave 4
I know of no relation between the two individuals. Just that, as shown above, their graves are adjacent.
In the Lotus section, there are some lots which are family lots (e.g. 4 graves adjacent with the same surname and -maybe- a taller monument with the family surname and individual ground markers). But for a majority of lots, each grave appears to be individually owned (individual markers with different surnames). The latter appears to be the case for lot 53.
Sorry if I confused you. There are no lot markers in this cemetery and the cemetery office is rarely open. One has to find the lot on the cemetery map and then count actual cemetery rows from the drive and or fence lines to get to an approximate lot location. But you may then have to search a number of graves in all directions to locate the desired lot/grave. If one doesn't find the desired name on a gravestone, the technique is to record a number of gravestones in the area (I photographed about 50 in Lotus) and then go back to the records to see where those graves are located. By plotting those graves on the cemetery lot map, one can better determine the location of the original desired lot. In this case, one of the graves I recorded was Conner's and in the desired lot. I visited a second time, re-found the Conner grave marker, and verified that the adjacent grave (Butin) did not have a marker.

Sorry, there is no marker for this grave. I am sure of the location as I did find the marker for the adjacent grave - Susan Conner in Lotus, lot 53, grave 4. Searched graves all around that area just in case.
