I am a few years away from being a senior citizen. Time is creeping up on me fast. I have been researching my family tree for over 30 years. It started years ago when I was visiting my grandparents and an older man came into the house with rubbings of the graves in Trenton for my grandfather. Grandpa was very happy and I didn't understand why. He promised the man that I (she) is the one that will do it. Years later I realize it was to research the family history.
I had forgotten this incident until years later as I entered to visit Grandma and found her and Aunt Grace plotting at the kitchen table. Sit down Gwen we have something for you to do.
Of course I did as I was told to find that a distant cousin Dianne requested information on the family. I wrote down the information with their help. Grandma kept dates in her phone book. Not in the Bible. She was very religious and didn't write in it.
I am disappointed to see that the management of my ancestor and the reason for the family search has been taken from the family management and given to some young man that is not related. He collects names of war veterans. He had an empty page and refused to transfer or add things to the site so I started a new one and put up all information. Recently my site was taken down and all my information was transferred to him. Most of my life has been surrounded by the fact that John B. Warner was my grandfather and fought in the Civil War. There are several generations that honor him. His grave has been visited by many. Even when family moves out of state he is always a topic of conversation. I am annoyed and angered that he was taken from our management by findagrave. We want him back in our possession. This other man is just a collector of veterans graves, but doesn't bother to take the time to research them. We have items of John B. Warner they are scattered among the family. I will say prayers daily that he is returned to our care. Members of the family have convinced me that our relative has not been taken away from us that in fact we are his bloodline and nothing can change that. He is ours and we are his for eternity.
I am one of a handful of family historians. We are all collaborating in an effort to keep John B. Warner and all our ancestors memories alive for our future generations.

RE: dunphy
I have a Margaret Dunphy (Brooklyn, NY), 1902-1963. Her parents John J Dunphy 1869-1942 (Brooklyn and buried in Farmingdale Long Island) and Magaret ?-1921. John J Dunphy parents are John Dunphy and Margart Walsh. Does that help? Does it match your family?

Reminder for Hannah Hazlett
Can you please call the cemetery and obtain the grave location (Section & Lot numbers) and ask them whether or not there is a grave marker?

Forest Home Cemetery: 708-366-1900 or 773-287-0772

This cemetery will not assist photo volunteers with finding the grave's location and the Find A Grave FAQs (Help File) states it is the photo requestors job to provide this information.

Thank you! Ace

Hi! Can you please call the cemetery and obtain the grave location (Section & Lot numbers) and ask them whether or not there is a grave marker? Please post this information to the memorial or send it to me.

Forest Home is a huge cemetery with well over 70,000 burials, and the information is needed in order to find someone there. I go here regularly, and since August I have found over 150 graves at Forest Home that had the location information provided. Thank you! Ace

Ephram Blackford
Hi Gwen. Can we add a relation for Ephram Blackford in the Hillside Cemetery and link him to his father Nathan Blackford? These are my great-grandfathers (Ephram 4x, Nathan 5x). Thank you so much, you've done a lot of work!

Monaghan, Glynn & Pugh families
My name is Carol Hurley and I am looking for info on the Katheryn Monaghan Glynn and her family who was told about a cousin they where buried at St Marys Cemetery in Westfield Hampden Mass. He said he saw the headstones, but didn't take a picture of them. That info on the death certificates where different than the headstones on some. I called the cemetery and they have no record of them being in the cemetery. Could you tell me how I can get a picture of the headstones, since my cousin has passed, since he sent me copies of the certificates.
I was in Mass a couple of years ago and wanted to take pictures of the graves but since the cemetery had no record, I didn't stop by. I just came across this info and hoped you can help me., THANKS Carol Hurley
