Thank you so much for finding the fragment of that old gravestone. I suppose the other pieces are strewn about under the grass or tossed into the corners of the cemetery. Your photograph may have just rescued that monument from obscurity.

Thank you so much for the great photo! I appreciate you very much.
I have family Bible records for Sarah BRIGHAM (not Bingham) and it is very clear that she died April 15, 1844. I agree that Samuel BRIGHAM should be April 7,1777. Thanks for the information.

Thanks for the photo of Samuel Brigham. I have been working on the Adams family (he married Sally Adams) for decades. When I was at the cemetery years ago I didn't know her husband's name. It is a good thing you do for folks like me who are on the opposite side of the country.

Hi Don -- Perfect! I have placed the additional notes on the memorial page. This will help anyone wanting to visit Bruce's burial site in person. Thank you!! -- Laurel

Hi Don -- Thank you for your reply.
Yes, please let me know if there is change in his marker status. That would be great.
On the plot information should I add the GAR information in there? Or just VII-A?
Yes, I understand about the snow. Not a problem in my neck of the woods. We can only hope to get some snow. Any precip is welcome here :)
Thank you again! -- Laurel

Hello Donald -- Thank you very much for the photo.
It has been several months, so I thought there would be a permanent marker by now. Most military markers only take 2-4 weeks. Perhaps the family ordered something else. I am sorry to put you to all of this trouble.
Is this a cemetery that you visit often? If it is, and you happen to notice that a permanent marker has been installed, please let me know and I will place another photo request.
Do you have the plot information so that I may add it?
Again, thank you -- Laurel

Thank you so much. The photographs are beautiful, and I'm very, very grateful that you found Sabrina (Smalley) Hyde's stone. We've been looking for her for a long time.
A cemetery pal - Stephen Smith - gave me two photography tips a few years ago and they've revolutionized how I photograph old stones. They've made such a different that I'm retaking all my older photos. But having the tips and knowing what's possible makes me the sort of person who can easily look gift horses in the mouth. I appreciate when people take photographs on my behalf, but when the photos are abysmal it's all I can do not to say: "Why did you bother to take this photo? It's just a gray blob." For that reason - because it brings out the worst in me - I rarely make requests.
So what a thrill to see great photographs!!! Thank you very, very much.
Again, thanks for adding the second photo. (It's too bad that Find A Grave doesn't notify people when photos are added to their memorials. Luckily I only have a small number so I can keep my eye on them.)
Are you the same Donald Specht who compiled that wonderful database, "Persons Buried in Ogden?". If so then I want to congratulate you for that massive accomplishment. It has proven useful time and time again as I try to answer questions about my numerous ancestors and cousins from that area.
