I've lived in West Virginia all my life. I grew up in Preston County, lived in Wood County for 9 years and now live in Barbour County. Most of my ancestors have been in West Virginia for hundreds of years, but my paternal grandmother's family is from Kansas. |
I have found Find a Grave to be a great source. In an effort to help others find relatives, I often take pictures of other graves when I visit cemeteries and make memorials. I sometimes transcribe information from books at my local library. If you come across one of your relatives in my records, let me know. I'll gladly transfer them to you (as long as they are not also mine). I believe they should be maintained by relatives, whenever possible.
My relatives are saved in my virtual cemeteries.

Thank you so much for the photo. Edith was my Aunt Edith. She was a sister of my Grandmother Winnie Bell Protzman Hall. She was also a DAR member. Thanks again for your work!

Thank you very much for taking the great headstone photos of Roy & Gertrude Weaver.
Thank you so much for getting these pictures for me, it means so much to my husband. Willis was his grandfather and he never got to see the gravesite when he passed - it's nice to finally have some closure.
Thank you, god bless,
