Currently working on several trees. Born in Tampa, Florida, raised in Bayside, Queens County, New York City, New York, currently living in Northern New Jersey. Retired in 2008.|
On my mother's side there are Irish and German immigrants (mid 1800s) who lived and raised families in the New York City area. My grandmother on my father's side is the link that makes me a direct descendant of Edward Doty who came over on the Mayflower in 1620. There are generations of colonizers and pioneers on this side. My family on my father's side were pioneers who went from New England to Pennsylvania, New York, Ohio, Iowa and finally into the western states. I am trying to organize everything for future generations and to honor my ancestors who have been forgotten and struggled greatly to just to survive.
I WILL GLADLY TRANSFER MEMORIALS TO RELATIVES OF ANYONE WHO I HAVE ADDED, PROVIDING THE INDIVIDUAL IS NOT PART OF MY OWN CLOSE FAMILY. PLEASE USE THE EDIT TAB ON THE MEMORIAL PAGE TO REQUEST TRANSFERS. YOU MAY ALSO USE ANY PHOTOS THAT I HAVE TAKEN FOR YOUR FAMILY TREES, ETC.

Do you have a better close up of his stone. I am unable to read it and I am trying to be sure he is the correct Richard A Baker WW2 vet I am looking for.

Hi Ken. I assume Flora's last name is Samson. No relation. Giving all Samson's a virtual flower to honor my family name. Judy

Okay, I'm finished. I found this graveyard using the Find A Grave app. It shows you the cemeteries in a given area (I wish they had that feature on the website). I was waiting for my daughter's car to be serviced and I found this cemetery nearby. So, I spend a couple of hours walking around and photographing headstones. I won't be back in that area so I won't step on your toes anymore. If you want me to remove anything or transfer memorials to you then just let me know. It was a nice cemetery.
|Dave Francis||RE: ORCHARD STREET CEMETERY|
Ken, Thanks for contacting me. I have about another 200 photos I need to process. I took about 400 photos at the cemetery, but a lot of those you already either created memorials for or posted pictures. I don't want to step on your toes. If you want me to stop posting I have no problem with that. If you want me to continue, it will take me about 1 more day to go through the rest of my photos.
P.S. I'm now back in California

The photo you posted for this memorial is the wrong headstone. It is for Job Talmage.
