RE: Alice Nelson Beebout
Cemetery records state that Alice was born in Tuscarawas county Ohio and that she was born in 1849. Per census records the only Alice Nelson I found in Tuscarawas county Ohio was this Alice.

Alice Nelson married Winfield Beebout in Stark county Ohio in 1870 [found on]. Winfield was a son of Dr James L and Jane Martin Beebout who are interred in Paris Twp. Stark county Ohio. James was a son of Josiah and Susanna Nelson Beebout. In 1850 this couple [Josiah and Susanna] lived in Tuscarawas county Ohio. Another connection? I have several branches that 'loop' like that.

Does Mary Ann's will mention children of her daughter? Alice died after David and before Mary Ann. Sometimes a deceased child's offspring is willed their parent's share of the estate.

'Sorry for the confusion. A lady was looking for
someone to answer a question on that memorial.
I thought you were he.

I have the right lady, but the location of her burial is still being worked on by several people. The records for that cemetery are only
partially available on line.

I am curious about this lady. Was she a professor of drawing and design?

RE: Union Chapel Contact

Crabtree is located in current Highland County VA
The VA counties changed over the years, Highland was once part of Augusta County, VA and Pendleton County as well as others, you may want to research the county history and pursue your search.
I have attached links to assist in your search.

RE: Burrier Photos
Good, I'm glad you enjoyed it....I so wanted to find those & didn't want to give up....You would enjoy seeing where they are & the view from the hilltop & she said you can see everywhere in the fall when the leaves are off all of the trees. She is so nice. She lives on CR 53 which runs parallel to I-77. You get off @ the Stonecreek exit & since you would be coming South on I-77 & exit, you would turn Left & go to the end of the road & there is a sign that points CR 53 to the left, also. The houses are on the right & she lives in a nice white house with a drive way that you can go in one way & come out the other & it is 2 houses back from the Twp. Rd. 255 where you turn right. It is called Metzger Hill Rd.. Tusc. Co. has all of their roads named on the signs & it is so hard to find them by numbers. My Tusc. Co. map only has the names on it, too. So, I have to really look for the roads. Some of the signs have the Numbers on them really small, so I have to pull in the road & see what the numbers are....I wish they would have the numbers on the signs before you get to them like they do here in my Coshocton County....Anyway, her name is Jeana Wingard or something like that....I know it can be spelled different ways...her husband was Clyde as she kept saying his name.....She would have to take you there as you have to go up that road & then turn & go thru the dau. property to get around the hill....Hope you get to do this sometime.....

RE: Burrier Photos
It turned out to be a fun time getting those....I had to stop & ask where it was or I never would have found it....Met a lot of nice people.....It is on private property way around a hill. It is on the property that the Burriers owned for years & years. The Burrier families still live here & there on the main road & the lady knows all of them. The lady had me follow her in her car & her children have built beautiful homes on their families property where all of this is & her son just built a home clear @ the end of this road made thru the fields & the cem. is behind where he lives right where his woods starts. The lady has just lost her husband a couple years ago too early in life....He & the son had cleared the part for his home on top of the hill @ the end of the road & they have always taken care of this little cemetery as it has always been there & they now will be putting the father's ashes there beside this little cemetery among the trees in the son's back yard as that is where he wanted to be........

RE: Smith's of North Carolina
Dear Michael: No need to transfer him to yours truly. You are a good caretaker of his memorial. ... I am part of the Drury Smith family tree from Rockingham County, NC. Drury Smith's grandson, Joseph Henry Smith, was my great-great-great grandfather. He's buried in Francisco, NC.
