Bio Photo My name is Bari and while I have only been active in genealogy a short time, I am completely hooked! I only wish I had more time to devote to the research. I am enjoying sharing my ancestors with others on the findagrave site and am happy when I am able to help others with their searches.

Please feel free to use any of my photos for your own use.

Re: DeWitt Family
Ms Bari
I am part of the 'lost' DeWitt family.
Isaac DeWitt was married 3x times - My family comes from the 3rd wife: Theodosia (Haughawout) DeWitt-Leonard. They were married in 1851. (Following Isaac's death she re-married - his name was: Abram Leonard - a widower too). Isaac & Theodosia had 3x kids: Harriett (Hattie), Charles (died in infancy) & Spencer Wilson DeWitt. Hattie was my GGG Grandmother. I/We only know bits and pieces about Isaac and a couple of his 'other' kids married neighborhood boys/girls in Wood Co, Ohio. But not much is know about the names of the other 2x wives, and very little has been found on Isaac. We don't even know where he is buried. There is absolutely nothing that has been found on Isaac's parents or prior. Hattie married a Gingery and they had 1x daughter: Addie Ann Gingery. She married a Heckerman. They had 4x boys & 1x girl: Pearl Heckerman. She married a Weaver and they had 1x girl and 2x boys: Dean Clarence Weaver. He is my Grandfather. So ... the DeWitts are a couple generations removed ... but still trying to find out more info, as time permits.
