Bio and Links
Bio Photo I have been researching some of the 36,000 + Army Air Forces personnel who died in the line of duty, of non-combat causes during the World War II era in service-related accidents. It is said that more
than 15,500 Army airmen were killed in airplane accidents between 1941 and 1946, within the borders of the U.S. and it's territories. They gave their all and died in the service of their country, but received no purple hearts and virtually no mention in the history books and have largely been forgotten by time.

For corrections, additions, or requests for transfer of memorial, please use the Edit tab, and select Suggest a Correction or Provide Additional Information to make any update requests. It is much easier to handle the issue this way, rather than a personal message.

I am happy to update any memorial, including family links. But I DO NOT like adding census information, copies of death certificates and please do not add long obituaries to the "photo" area. The information can be condensed and pasted into the bio area. If you don't have the time to type out the obituary, just email it to me. I will add it and give you credit for finding it.
I appreciate any information that can "round out" someone's bio.

Yes we could do that. I usually check b 4 I create a memorial so as not to create a duplicate, but in trying to create memorials for men who served as my uncle did, if I was unable to find previous memorials, i created them hoping that someone would find the burial site. just glad this one was found. i'll transfer my info and photos at my earliest opportunity, then ill delete my memorial.

RE: Cook Family Burying Grounds
Tim,

Still no luck finding coordinates. However if you use the directions given should find it. Be on the look out for an orange marker hanging in a tree near the road. Follow the markers back in the woods about 300 feet and you will come onto the cemetery. The ground is well covered in clover as I remember and there was some stones being repaired by someone.

RE: Cook Family Burying Grounds
Sorry, if I did I can't find them now. If I come across them I will send your way. The directions seemed pretty accurate as that's how I found it.
