Emma T. Utley
Scott, the memorial record shows that Emma T. Utley died in 1915. However, the headstone shows a death year of 1950. I've seen census records for 1920 and 1930 that show her living so I'm sure the headstone is correct. Can you change the memorial on her to the correct death year, please? Thanks.

RE: Albert v. Alfred Shatto
Scott, I think that it would be a good idea for you to put a note about his name on the memorial.

Ruffena Willow

Made the correction on the spelling of Mabel Willow's mother's given name to Ruffena. I also found her parents' memorials on Find A Grave and linked her up. Her mother's memorial has it spelled Ruffena. Ruffena's maiden name is spelled about 10 different ways: Glatfelter, Glotfelter, Cladfelder, etc., etc. etc. Ruffena evidently used Glatfelter although her father is Glotfelter! The given and surname spellings for this family are all over the map!

So it goes ...

Susan Lindner McDonald
Hi Scott
My Grand Mother was Theda Susan Dengler Merscher. Her Mother was Ida Lily Shatto. Her husband,Issac, was murdered and her Mother remarried. My Parents were Martin Van Buren Shatto and Susan Royer. Please feel free to look at my family tree under Kimberly Lindner...the Lindner tree. Are we related? It appears from some of my research that some of the Shatto (Chateau) family adopted the name "Shaddow". Is this correct or are the census takers erroneous? I am very interested in visiting the areas which the Shatto family settled in Pa. I live in upstate NY(near Rochester) and would love to meet you. My email is
I hope to hear from you.

I have deleted both of the entries you notified me about. Catharina Bernheisel (1768-1833) is listed on the cemetery roster I have as being the wife of Johannes Bernheisel (1765-1825) and both of their grave sites are already on Find A Grave.

Thank You
Thank you for catching my error. I have deleted the one suggested. Do you know if Catharine Bernheisel was her maiden name or married name? The only listing I have for the Lebanon Lutheran Cemetery in Loysville is one I printed off in 1999 from

Do you have the complete translation of her tombstone?
