Bio and Links
Bio Photo I was honored to spend three years of my life as a Sentinel at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier in Arlington National Cemetery. A Sentinel is required to "know" Arlington National Cemetery, inside and out. Walking through cemeteries and gathering bits and pieces of history is now part of my being. I enjoy the histories of the the people who lay to rest. I am currently photographing grave markers for Find A Grave and Arkansas in Sebastian County, Arkansas, and Le Flore County, Oklahoma. Feel free to use my photos and post them as you see fit. It is my pleasure.

I see you have several requests at this cemetery. If you would call the cemetery and get the locations for me and send them to me, I will gladly get them for you. This cemetery only gives out to family and I am now too well known there to call of go into the to the office. I go there every week and would love to get them done. James

Photo Request for Hardin
Hardin, Grace Ann (Rodgers) buried at Ward Cemetery, Strawberry, Lawrence County, Arkansas. I actually live not far from this cemetery. I can find NO information or burial for said person. If you can give me a description of where the grave is located. Sounds silly I know but like by a cedar tree or next to the road. I can swing in and check for you.

Fredrick Carter
This person is buried in Jefferson Memorial Gardens Cemetery, Jefferson City, Tn. along side of his wife. Why would you make a Memorial and not know where a person is buried?

Mr. Mayville,
This has nothing to do with Find A Grave. You sent me an edit, I came to your page & read your bio.

I just wanted to say my biggest dream was to go to Arlington, which I did 3 years ago. Not only was I in awe of the entire cemetery, but also of the Sentinel's. I sat there watching the Sentinel's in what I can only say was awed silence. I have always loved our country, but never more so, nor more proudly than, the day I spent at Arlington.

Thank you for your service, devotion & dedication. I salute you, Sir.

Forever thankful,

Joyce Jones Wright photo
In response to your photo request, I have searched the records for this name in the Chapel Hill Cemetery recorded in Custer County, with the cemetery Sexton, and the Church, and there is no Joyce Jones Wright interred there. I believe the memorial #92766690 to be in error. Researching the burial location of Joyce's parents, and surrounding interments, I believe the memorial #92723601 Helen Joyce Wright to be the same person in the correct memorial form.

Are you sure this Fredericka was married to Henry Haefner? When did she marry a Yokes?

According to the 1910 and 1920 censuses Henry's wife Fredericka was born in 1879-80 and had emigrated in 1882 from Denmark. So she is much younger than Henry. They married June 12th 1907 and it lists her father as John F. Damgard on the marriage cert. The photo of Mr & Mrs Haefner that I posted on his memorial site, shows a much younger wife than he, so it is probably Fredericka. But the Fredericka you have connected with him is eight years older than he.

Also, according to the "History of Dunn County, Wisconsin" (1925)/ page 358, it was reported that Fredericka died in 1922. That is another reason that linking him to this Fredericka seems wrong. It would be nice to clear this up.

(I can't find a memorial for a Fredericka with the right dates or her parent's memorials (if they came over). I can't find a memorial for his first wife either and I don't know when she died.)
