I have been into genealogy since I was given an original copy of a family history that my great-grandfather wrote in 1905. Both of my grandmothers coached me in the family history, and I have always wanted to share that heritage with all of the family. Find-A-Grave give me a chance to share that info not only with people I know, but also with others that I don't personally know. My family teases me about it, but cemeteries are a wealth of information and history. It is interesting to see the family connections, the architecture and style of the grave markers and monuments, and the different ethnic styles over the years. Every grave represents a real person who was loved. Some have been forgotten, but find-a-grave is helping people rediscover their families. Since I was 12, I have "adopted" my uncles who died in the Civil War, because they had no children of their own to remember them. Likewise, I want to help the babies and children to be remembered, by linking them to their parents. If you have corrections or new info to add, just click on "Edit". If you are related, I'd love to share info with you.|

|Dan Woolary||RE: Josiah Rinker|
I wish I knew who Josiah Rinker was but I do not. I just happened to see his tombstone and knew Rinker was a family name and took the picture.
By the way, it looks like the death date for Mary Anna Schultz Rinker is not correct. She was 90 when she died and if you add 90 to her birth you get a different year.
Cousin Dan Woolary

I am not related to any of the lines you named. I did some cemetery indexing for findagrave in Howard County several years ago and remember many of the names you gave me. But unfortunately we are not related.
Have a great Valentines Day Candy!!!

I think in the picture if you look really close you can see the first few letters in his name. Thats about it
|Dave Tyler||RE: Hamilton McDowell|
If I have the chance during the holidays, I will try to get to the cemetery and take a closer look at the marker. If you study the picture I posted, you can see that someone has preserved the tombstone by setting the broken pieces of the stone in concrete. - Dave
