********IF YOU'RE GOING TO STEAL A MEMORIAL, INCLUDE ALL INFORMATION IN THE APPROPRIATE SPOTS. WHEN IT ASKS FOR COUNTRY, STATE, COUNTY AND CITY OF DEATH AND BIRTH, ADD IT. CERTAIN PEOPLE FROM MY AREA ARE ALWAYS ON STEALING THEM AND NOT DOING IT CORRECTLY BECAUSE THEY WANT TO HAVE THE HIGHEST NUMBER OF POSTINGS.**********|
I am a genealogist near Bloomington Illinois and would love to help you discover your ancestors. If you can't share your photos you post on here with others for their genealogy pages, then why bother? It's unfair really to those who cannot get their own photos but you share the same family with them. Any of my photos are up for use by anyone that would like them and I don't need credit for them. I want you to enjoy them.
As a volunteer, I ask only that if you have more than one request for the same cemetery, please request them all at the same time if possible. Thank you very much.
I have too many family names that I am researching but a few of them are: Carroll, Altieri, Leetch, Brown, Boggs, Norris, Cundiff, Lefever, Bohannon, Crim, Del Grosso, Piteo, Garrison, Tennelly, and Paolucci.
It's annoying when certain people dominate the memorials and can't post pictures to go with the ones they post. It's like a game to them to see how many they can post even if they deprive us of our family members or a chance to post them ourselves. The ones in my area are horrible at cheating out us out of a chance to post memorials for our friends and family members we lose.
I don't think I'm going to volunteer anymore for the simple fact that these same people cheat me out of posting the photos I spend the day gathering, even after I've claimed them.

|Dana Levine||RE: George Liddle|
It is sad when there are no headstones. I was working on my family tree and noticed the photo request for Roselawn. And I thought my husband "Dan" would know. So he pulled out a book and verified it and also went to the location and sent me the picture. There was a volunteer in Chicago who helped me link my family that I never new existed until recently. So I thought I would pay it forward. Tomorrow I will be going to get the other request... Much thanks to my husband Dan!

My husband is the foreman at Roselawn Memorial Park in Springfield, IL. I saw the burial records to verify the burial of George Liddle. There was no headstone placed. I have added a photo with a caption that was just taken today. The burial plot listed is correct.

Hi...I'm searching for family & found a pic for my gr-gr-gr-gr-grandmother, Jane Dyke, in the Grassy Ridge Cem. On her memorial, you have add a pic, but it isn't shaped the same as Jane's, you made the comment that it was very hard to read, but you didn't say who's name was on the stone! Can you fill me in??? Thanks for putting pics on here. Sure helps those who can't afford to travel. Looking forward to finding out who this stone belongs to!!

Thanks for the update. There are now '4'. Just FYI - people are not always who they say they are.

I agree completely with your bio. I allow anyone to use my photos of their family members stones.
I find memorials created before the person is even but in the ground. What good is having thousands of photos and not share them.
I suppose the headstones are really copyrighted and we should not be allowed to lift or copy that image without permission of a family member. Might make it difficult with a 150 year old stone.If we copyrighted the headstones, there would be no Find A Grave.
I have located many family members through this site. Hope it continues.
Please do not stop. It is people like you who make it possible for us old folks to locate lost family.
You also allow use of your photos, instead of steal in your bio, could you use "use".
Thanks much for your work.
Thanks for the grave pic!
