Shirley Walton edit request
Thanks for drawing my attention to this. I’ve been trying to figure this out all morning. I can’t figure which woman is her mother. Please let me know if you found out something which clears this all up.

I’ve unlinked her to a mother and have changed Lawrence’s bio to read as follows:
Lawrence married Florence I Salin on April 9, 1910 in Minneapolis, Minnesota and the 1920 Census shows him living in Minneapolis with Florence and children Lawrence Irving Jr. age 9, Harriet age 7 and Edith age 2.

The 1930 census lists him in Minneapolis with his second wife Minnie and daughter Shirley age 3 1/12 and son William age 5. The 1940 Census lists him living in Minneapolis with wife Minnie, son William age 15 and daughter Shirley age 13. I cannot find record of Lawrence Sr. marriage to Minnie, nor record of Florence after the 1920 census, other than her death in 1931. I cannot find record of William or Shirley's births or William's death. Minnesota death records state Shirley's mother's maiden name was Rodgers, which further complicates the situation.

I’ve changed Shirley’s bio to read: 1930 & 1940 census records state she was born in 1927 and living in Minneapolis with her father Lawrence and his wife Minnie (nee Junker). In the 1920 census her father was married to Florence (nee Salin). Minnesota death records state Shirley's mother's maiden name was Rodgers. It is unclear who her birth mother was.

Hi Steve,

I notice in this memorial that a location of Carver County MN is indicated as place if death. Where did you obtain that info please? This is my 3x great grandmother.

Thank you
