Bio and Links
Bio Photo These heroes are dead. They died for liberty - they died for us. They are at rest. They may or may not sleep in the land they made free, under the flag they rendered stainless, under the solemn pines, the sad hemlocks, the tearful willows, and the embracing vines. They sleep beneath the shadows of the clouds, careless alike of sunshine or of storm, each in the windowless Place of Rest. Earth may run red with other wars - they are at peace. In the midst of battle, in the roar of conflict, they found the serenity of death. I have one sentiment for soldiers living and dead: cheers for the living; tears for the dead.

Pictures and Bios:

For me a simple attribution, Michael V. Drachman 2000-2015 works for any of my bio's for personal use. (Pictures ).

Should you use my pictures and wish to publish them elsewhere, say Ancestry or other similar PAY sites, please,, Post the link to the site here at Find A Grave..

Please remember that even though Ancestry has acquired Findagrave, Ancestry is a pay site, posting pictures there, or similar pay sites, transfers your ownership, like FB. This is mentioned (in very fine print) in all of their disclosures.

Findagrave was built by thousands of volunteers who's time was donated for the benefit of family members and friends,,who in many cases are not able to visit the resting places of their family members. These efforts were always intended to be free of charge and should remain that way,,,,,

"I have a burr under the Saddle on this one" that being pay sites "profiting" from Volunteers work....

In the end, never let yourself become complacent to those who have went before us. Always make time to remember the sacrifices that have been made for us by our Ancestors.

Never forget the Men and Women of our Armed Forces who have guarded our Constitution with their lives, some giving all to secure our rights, liberties and freedoms.

Remember the 100's of thousands soldiers who never came home, many who lie in a unmarked graves, never found or a foreign cemetery as that would indeed make those lives,, lost in vein... Reach out,, honor a Veteran.

Allow us not to embrace any politician. aristocrat, celebrity, who in the name of change, forgets or attempts to direct us to think otherwise..

A Nation which forgets its Defenders,
will itself be forgotten ..

.. God bless America..

Capt. William Miller
I can't say thank you enough for taking these beautiful photographs of his gravestone & grave site. My Dad fought at Normandy but fortunately made it home. I have the utmost respect for all of these men and am doing my part to see that as many of them as possible have complete memorials. Thank you for your dedication to this site.

RE: Bishop, Loy
I did look at another vet's memorial that had that panel and Loy's name is listed there but there is a black circle at the end of the information which would indicate that his remains were recovered. Since his name is on the panel I think you should leave the memorial at Normandy.
