Bio and Links
Bio Photo Forest Hills Cemetery is practically in my backyard, and I love walking there. It is, in my opinion, the most beautiful 275 acres in all of Boston. And since discovering this site while doing some of my own genealogical research, I've also found that I love finding headstones for people, too. If I've found a grave for you, all I ask is that you visit a nearby cemetery and pay it forward.

Also, if you want to post any photo I've taken to another web site, have at it. Don't even worry about crediting me as the photographer. The way I see it, the photos don't belong to me, they belong to the people researching their family history or remembering loved ones who have passed, and should therefore be as widely available as possible. But please note that not all of the photographers who contribute to this site feel the same way, and be mindful to respect their photos.

Best,
Doug

Hello Doug. It took me a while to get this information. I had almost forgot I asked Mount Hope Cemetery for it. Please let me know if you can get a photo for:

It says (Liner). Do you know what that means?

Doug,

How exciting to see my great-grandmother's dedication to her beloved husband on his gravestone!! They had only been married 3 years when he died, and my grandmother was one year old. I don't get up to Boston area much, so it is very appreciated. Thank you so much!!

Thanks for the pictures of her memorial and her families. Now the fun comes in, is she really there? She's also listed on her husbands marker in Oak Hill - time to do obit digging.

Doug,
Thank you. Her marker should be just beside the boy in the boat that is encased in glass. Louise is Louis' (the boy in the boat) mother.

If you can't find her, it is no worry. We are not related. I was just curious what her stone looks like.

Thank you for all that you do for Find A Grave.

Sincerely,
Sara Parsons

Doug:

Thanks for the picture - now a bit more searching. His dad died in the Civil war. Looks like he is buried in his moms parents plot.

Thanks again.

Rick
