Born Annabelle Mary Henderson w/o Jesse Rupert (Columbiana County) and d/o John Cassell Henderson born Newport, Kentucky and Mary Beaton Jenkins born Glasgow, Scotland. Jesse Rupert is s/o J Vernon Rupert born Columbiana Co, Ohio and Mary Paden.
Only paternal roots in America, I follow a path to Fairfax Co Virginia (grandmother's name Pritchartt).
Some interesting facts discovered about my family: Henderson, Nevada named after my group. The Hendersons still operate the oldest family owned Drug Store in America to date called "Henderson's Drug Store" founded 1841 by Osborne Henderson in Glasgow, Howard Co Missouri. The oldest Henderson in my group, lived to be 104, Dr. Joseph Lewis Henderson as did his sister. I have no biological connection to Ohio and will transfer any memorial in Columbiana/Mahoning Co Ohio to persons with interest. I check and work on this daily and will respond to email/corrections, etc promptly. | |

 | Columbiana Co., OH Seeing your location, I just had to send a note back. I have so much family that were early settlers in Columbiana Co. and in what is now Beaver Twp., Mahoning Co. Over the years, I've made numerous trips to do first hand research and enjoyed many breakfasts at the little diner in downtown Lisbon.Added by roots56 on May 10, 2013 6:30 PM | | | Richard Culler

 | 33768768 Anne,
Thank you so much for the work you're doing with findagrave and more specifically, with Eastern State Hospital. Preston Field's son, John Henry Fields, married my great Aunt, Sarah Alice Moore. My great Aunt's twin brother was my grandpa. I am working on a book on the Moore line. You can transfer Preston Fields (33768768) to me and I will add his children and what I know of him. I am sad to say that this is the fifth family member I have found that died at Eastern State Hospital. However, this is the first one that I've found buried there. Three of the 5 others were brought back home to Eastern Kentucky...the other one I will look for in what you set up here....

 | Thomas K. Voorhees Anne,
I had been looking for a Thomas Voorhees who was the father of Franklin R. Voorhees, who was born in Missouri, whose parents were a Thomas and Mary Gibbons Voorhees. And I believe that this Thomas is the right one since he is seen in the 1860 census (before Franklin was born), with his wife Mary. Her maiden name was Gibbons/Gebbons. That census also shows a Gibbons as living in the same home.
Then in the 1870 census, they show up again with a son "Frank", who was 6 years old at the time.
Franklin was living in Chicago, and was murdered in 1915. His death certificate shows his parents as being Thomas and Mary Gebbons Voorhees. (I think they have her last name spelled wrong on that also).
Her maiden name is what has me confused. Was she a Graves or was she a Gibbons??? I'd like to connect Franklin to his parents, but I want to make sure that they are the right ones.
Thanks!!!
