Shingle

Washington Shingle had three brothers in the war. Captain John B. fought with the 95th PA and won the Medal of Honor. He moved to Kansas.
Thomas A. also served but I have no information on him. He is listed on the monument at Market Square in Germantown.
George was KIA in 1864. He died in Richmond, VA.

Mr Dodge
Back in March of last year, at the passing of William Wooldriged, I had inquired of you as to whether or not he would be deemed as famous in order to do a bio for him. You stated that he would not be considered famous. I noticed today that there are now two gravesites for SMA Wooldridge, mine, http://www.findagrave.com/cgi-bin/fg.cgi?page=gr&GSln=Wooldridge&GSiman=1&GScid=3651&GRid=86407730&
and one deemed famous, http://www.findagrave.com/cgi-bin/fg.cgi?page=gr&GSln=Wooldridge&GSiman=1&GScid=3651&GRid=87196196&
Now I know you people at findagrave do not particulary care for me, that has become clear over the 4 years I have contributed to the site, but having placed my entry out there prior to the other one and having been the manager of the Military Personnel Records for the Sergeants Major Academy for a period of time and then being told that he was not one to be considered famous, then to find out otherwise, I must say this was pretty low. I have no idea what I did so offensive to you people but the message has been received loud and clear. I will delete my entry for SMA Wooldridge.

GAR
Jose Nisperos MOH Findagrave Memorial
Russ,

I need your help. The Findagrave Memorial that I created for Medal of Honor recipient Jose Nisperos #93703628 has an incorrect location for the cemetery that he is buried in. The correct cemetery and location are Lingsat Cemetery in San Fernando City, La Union (Province) in Luzon, Phillipines. Unfortunately, even if I wanted to add a new cemetery to Findagrave there are not the correct choices available for region, province, city etc. So I am stonewalled at this point from making Nisperos' Memorial correct. I have the local Commander of the American Legion over in the Phillipines asking that I correct it.

Many thanks for your assistance,

Karl (GAR)

Cemetery Correction
Pole Bridge Cemetery (AKA Poe Bridge Cemetery) is located in Clay County Alabama not Tuscaloosa County Alabama. Thank you.

Dale Ryan
Joseph Cooke Jackson date of death
Hello!
No wonder I was confused when I saw a passenger list from 1907 with this General Joseph Cooke Jackson on it!
Someone (not sure if it were you ) wrote his memorial, his date of death, incorrectly.
He died in 1913.
If anyone can correct this, greatly appreciated!
He is buried in Cedar Hill Cemetery in Hartford, CT

I thank you!
