Bio and Links
Bio Photo I am 66 years old and love doing family research. I live in Alvin, TX and love to fish. I have 3 little dogs that I adore. I believe in God and Country and the men & women who defend it.

I want everything to be as correct as I can make it. I do this out of respect for them and who they were. As I am also researching family I try to have the same consideration for others as I expect from them. Even with my own family if someone see's something they think is wrong I'd like to know it and then I may or may not change it according to what I have and what I know. I've learned not even gov documents are always correct nor name spellings on them. So good thing I like fishing because in some cases it takes a lot of it to find out anything or another family member in this up to their necks with lots of resources. I have two of those in my family.... God Bless all those dedicated to obtaining correct information and supporting and working together on sites like Find A Grave and Ancestry.

One thing that bothers me is people who add photo's of stones at such an angle or distance that it can not be read or with flowers obstructing the information on the stone. To me if the stone can't be read DON'T PUT IT ON THE MEMORIAL. The stone has important information on it that we need as verification of information. To me take flowers off and get over the stone and close enough to be able to read it in the photo. The stone is the most important thing, not the flowers on it.

PLEASE DO NOT POST A CLOSE UP OF A SECTION OF THE STONE IF THE COMPLETE PICTURE OF THE STONE CAN BE READ. THERE IS NO NEED FOR IT AND IT TAKES UP PHOTO SPACE. THANK YOU.

RE: Virginia Hull
Yes, anywhere in Texas is a long ways from anywhere else. Because of the fact that Virginia's stone was ground level, it would have been difficult to get a background shot and still get a readable photograph of the headstone. Thank you for your belief in me.

RE: Elizabeth Cheshire
I agree I think she died in 1899, I even put it on the memorial although we could be wrong at least we know there are only a few years to pick from lol. I found her daughters. Made a couple memorials. Asked for them to be linked to their parents. One was already linked the Edmond. Hope to go out next week to Alder Cemetery not a promise but I will try it is 20 miles or so in a direction I normally do not travel.

RE: Elizabeth Cheshire
More information
Census was taken June 13/14 1900
Lulu P. was born Aug 1889
Leota E. was born Apr 1891
Lenna R. was born Jan. 1894
Lucy L. was born Dec. 1896

So with the added info she died between Dec. 1896 - June 13/14 1900.

RE: Elizabeth Cheshire
My research so far, Edmond and Elizabeth were married on Dec. 22, 1887. They were both living in Bear Creek, Cedar County, Missouri ceremony took place in Masters, Cedar County, Missouri, about 2 miles away. Since we do not have 1990 census records the first one Elizabeth and Edmond would be in would be 1900. Sure enough no Elizabeth but Edmond with 4 daughters. Lulu P. age 11,
Leota E. age 9, Lenna R. age 6, Lucy L. age 4. So that leaves my guess she died between 1895-1900. Lucy married Alen Kennon, Aug. 7, 1918 and guessing Lulu P. P for Pearl if that is so she married Fred Gannaway
Feb. 25, 1917. Hope I didn't give you info you already have and I helped you out. If you want to know where I got my info just shoot me an email and I can send that info to you.

Elizabeth Cheshire
Sorry It took so long to get back to you, I miss placed your email somehow and as I was going through them I found it again. The dates for Elizabeth came to me from the Cedar County, Missouri Cemetery directory. I am sure it is wrong and if I ever get to go to the cemetery I will look and see if I can find the correct death date. The cemetery book says

Cheshire, Elizabeth w/o of Edmond
1869 - 1989

Again Sorry it took so long I am usually faster at getting back to people.

RE: Virginia Hull
I want to assure you that the picture I took was indeed taken at Mesa View Cemetery in Delta, CO. The cemetery is located adjacent to Taylor Funeral Home, 970-874-9988. The grave is located in the south quadrant of the center circle.

Is it possible that Virginia isn't buried at Mesa View? The reason that I ask is that many times, a plot was purchased for a person who, in later years, remarried and is buried elsewhere.

If you wish, I will personally check with the funeral home and confirm the records. I will be back in Delta in a week or so and can do this.

I plan to visit the cemetery in person and take photos. Then our group will do the necessary paper work required to do this. I will keep you posted regarding this.
