Bio Photo I enjoy taking graveyard photographs when I am able to do so! It's satisfying to know I helped make someone smile or helped them break through a wall in their family tree research :) I have appreciated others taking the time and helping me so I love being able to "pay it forward". Sometimes a photo is all it takes to advance in a family tree branch.I do request here that you please try (esp. for large cemeteries-- if you are not sure of the size you can google for the cemetery size or even the maps for a reference) to provide the marker/lot/location info for your requests--- if possible. I know I get excited and post mine without (and try to go back later to get the info).(I still have some I need to call on!) More and more cemeteries are restricting the info. Some even charge a fee. Very frustrating when a volunteer, such as myself, wants to help another person in their genealogical search / family tree work. I volunteer my time and I am very happy to fulfill as many requests as possible when I go to a cemetery-but please work with me (and the others) who REALLY want to help with your requests. Its so much easier to go to a section and do all the ones in the section. its also cost efficient for us volunteers :) A phone call or two is generally all that is needed. Explain you want to locate your ancestor(s) grave-site(s). A helpful hint: please ask if there are other people buried in the plot/lot and ask for the names and dates. Some places will help you (as a relative/descendent) If you have things to share about the photos I have taken/posted, I would love to hear from you! Especially corrections. I do my best to research each memorial before I post it but sometimes, like everyone, lose my place or get interrupted etc so yes mistakes do get made. If you would like a transfer, please contact me (via the edit button). I will state here that if the person you are requesting is one of my relatives there is little chance I will transfer ((although i would love to confer with you and compare notes etc please!))---however, for the others I have posted that are not in that category I would be more than happy to honor requests! Please just ask me.For those memorials I have here that may be your loved ones, know that I honor and respect them. This is why the memorial was created (at least by me--- I cant speak for anyone else)For the memorials that have been transferred to me,I thank you. Please know I do honor and understand your work on each memorial and as such I greatly appreciate the transfer! Be Well~Hug your loved ones!PS: for those looking for books on family histories, other than at your local libraries and/ or Historical societies, I found a great deal of family histories recorded and posted in google play books (app)...and many were free. I'm currently reading one now that has to do with one of the cemeteries I visited and the histories and relationships of those buried there. cant hurt to have another resource- right? :)
