NOTE: I don't do genealogy. I have a hard time figuring out my own relatives.|
I will be happy to make additions, corrections or transfers. Please provide the FaG memorial # and your contributor #. Thanks!
I have always loved history. I belong to the Francis Vigo Chapter of DAR (Daughters of the American Revolution).

We're almost there.
Joseph's mother is Eliza Garrett Wolfe, 93811458 (Uriah Wolfe's first wife).
Thanks for your help.

Thanks for the clarification on Benjamin Wise. I see I should have looked for others in the area with the same name.
I didn't know there was a genealogy library in Vincennes, so the next time I visit Southern Indiana, I'll try to find time to check it out.

Is it possible that Benjamin Wise was b. 1810 instead of 1870? I see there is a note that there is no marker - how did you get the date?
If Benjamin was b. 1810, he would have been the right age to have been the husband to Rachel (Chance) Wise.
Some have Benjamin as having died prior to the 1860 census, but probably because he's not listed with the family that year. In a later census, Rachel lists herself as divorced. I believe it's possible that Benjamin lived at the time others considered him as having passed.
Thank you for any information you can give me, and thanks for all the hard work you do creating and maintaining memorials!

Ms Cathy Griggs
For some reason when I try to access Find A Grave for my 2nd Great Grandfather Issac Hover 1812-1887 buried in West Newton Cemetery in Allen County, Ohio, it shows a name and markers for a Friedrich Deppe. Your assistance in correcting the problem would be appreciated.
