Bio Photo 'The not suffer the Living to pass. The way is shut! It was made by those who are dead.....and the Dead keep it! The shut.'

I have been researching my family lines since 2000 and have accumulated hundreds of pictures from dozens of cemeteries. I hope by sharing these photos with/on 'Find A Grave' it will help others re-discover their family and their heritage. I will make an effort to display only proved data with sources; and if any mistakes are found, feel free to contact me so we can make the appropriate corrections.

Hi George,

I'm not sure which John Gilbert you're referring to, but I'll be happy to manage him. I assume I'm related somehow. :)

I'm also anxious to see his obit.

Eliazabeth Allison Bell (1825-1878) and Charles Bell (1822-1897)
Hello Mr. Allison,
While researching this couple, I discovered your extensive and impressive data.

Perhaps you can help me find the antecedents of Elizabeth Allison Bell, who is buried along with her husband in Oak Hill Cemetery, Plymouth, Marshall County, IN. Both were born in Pennsylvania and were married in Holmes, Ohio. Reputedly, Elizabeth was the daughter of a Benjamin Allison who was buried in a cemetery at Leiter's Ford, Fulton County, IN.

Of course, I found your FindaGrave data on Benjamin, wife Elizabeth Barkley Allison and daughter Verlinda Allison Brugh. Do you know if Benjamin had a daughter named Elizabeth? Or any other children?

The proximity of Marshall and Fulton counties seems positive. However, I have not been able to confirm a connection.

Any information that you can share will be gratefully received.

RE: Juanna McCown stone
It helps a great deal! I really appreciate your posting this picture. Juanna is my gggg great grandmother, and I know so little about her. I have searched and searched but I cannot seem find out anything about her parents. I read the information posted with the picture... she actually had 3 children and, I think, died from child birth complications on her 3rd. Thank you again for posting this and for your quick response.

Juanna McCown stone
Greetings! I just saw the stone of Juanna McCown you posted on my memorial for her... I have seen her other memorial on the big McCown marker when I went to Flats Cemetery, but I had not seen this one before. Where did you find it? I remember seeing two broken-off monuments near the McCown section, but no stones. I am very curious to learn more. Thanks!
