Bio and Links
Bio Photo I was born in 1966 in France, where I settled in July 2013 after many years abroad (PR China, Saudi Arabia, USA and Algeria). So far, one of my passions has been traveling, and while living in San Francisco, CA, I started taking pictures of filming locations, the goal being to compare current locations to what they were in movies... Grave hunting? It's my main activity when I'm on holiday! :-)

I made the change you requested and also transferred his memorial, as well as all the others I created in this particular cemetery, to you.

RE: Martial Brigouleix
Thanks for your interest Michel. Since the memorial has a "famous" designation, I do not have the ability to make that spelling change.

I notice that the French language Wikipedia entry shows his first name as "Martial." See http://fr.wikipedia.org/wiki/Martial_Brigouleix

I also note that google.fr also finds Martial as does http://www.ordredelaliberation.fr/fr_compagnon/150.html

Best regards,

Fred

RE: Georges Madon (#37078036)
Merci beaucoup, Michel! I hope that one day I can be able to help you in the same way.

Madon seems to be one of the forgotten French air heroes. But with famous contemporaries like René Fonck, Georges Guynemer and Charles Nungesser, it might be understandable.

RE: Georges Madon (#37078036)
From what I could find, he is buried in the 30ème division. There is a photo of his grave on http://www.landrucimetieres.fr/spip/spip.php?article391 , but since it's not mine, I've refrained from using it.

Merci pour votre aide.

Georges Madon (#37078036)
I thinks this person is Georges Felix Madon, the French WWI ace, and I was wondering if you have a photo of his grave. If you haven't, I have placed a photo request some time ago. Thanks anyway.

Dear Michel,
I noted on a note you wrote to another (I was following a thread) that in April 2015 you will be visiting San Francisco, CA as well as LA. While in SF be sure to visit the Mountain View Cemetery in Oakland, CA. It's establishment date is 1865 and the cemetery fills 258 acres of rolling hills within the city limits and residential area of Oakland, CA.

I would just like to say a very big thank you to Michel for taking the time to go and photograph this memorial stone for me. Without people like you who go out of there way to help others like me with our projects. Especially at this time of the year when everyone is so busy with Christmas and the New Year nearly upon us.

Once again thank you very much.
Regards Carolyn

RE: From a French taphophile
Hello Michel!

I'm glad to hear you'll be visiting Los Angeles. Let me know which weekend you'll be here and perhaps I can give you a tour of a cemetery of your choice.

Regards,

Louis

RE: Milly Vitale
Dear Michael,

thanks for writing me, I hope you're enjoying your Italian vacation. The chapel where Milly Vitale rests is located at the Monumental Cemetery of Verano. I'm sure that once you'll be there you can ask where exactly is. The cemetery is located at this address, Piazzale del Verano, 1, Rome. I am here for any help you need.

Best regards.

Ruggero
