Bio and Links
Bio Photo I live in Colorado, very close by to Ft Logan Natl Cemetery where many of our military and loved ones are buried and to Littleton Cemetery, where the most famous interment is Alfred Packer. I've been researching my own line of ancestors for many years now and I know how important it is for someone to see a picture of a headstone, if not a face through pictures. Ft. Logan cemetery is huge, so give me a heads up where the gravestone is located, if you can. Littleton Cemetery headstones are not marked at all, so I'll have to ask the office where to look. I'll do my best. Other cemeteries located within 13 mi are Crown Hill and Olinger.

RE: Jerome Bonaparte Worth
Norma:

You have done a lot of great work. It is really appreciated.

My Mom says that she has no idea who Allen Wingett is. She knows that she is the youngest & last child of Mina Evelyn Worth and the Allen Wingett name is not familiar to her at all. She does not remember anyone staying with them and has no answer for why his name is listed with her family.

In regards to John Gordon. I believe that the John C. Gordon & Nina Gordon that you show and the John Francis Gordon that married my grandmother, Mina Evelyn Worth Hubbard Gordon, are two different families.

John Francis Gordon was born in 1900 and the 1930 Census information that you show for John C Gordon shows and estimated birth year of 1888 and his age at the time of the 1930 Census as 43, where John Francis Gordon would have been only 30. Also Nina Gordon shows an age of 42 and Mina Evelyn Gordon, born in 1906 was only 24 at the time of the 1930 Census. Thus, it would seem to me that John C Gordon, Nina E Gordon & Doris Gordon would not have any know relationship to our family.

John Francis Gordon went by Frank and I find a 1940 census for a Frank Gordon with the right age, a "wife" Margaret, who my Mom knew as Maggie, and three sons. I will check with my Mom to see if this looks like our Frank Gordon?

Thanks again for reaching out. Let me know your thoughts/questions.

RE: Jerome Bonaparte Worth
It does get twisted. My mother's Maiden Name is Genevieve Elaine Hubbard. Her married last name is Justice. Her mother was Mina Evelyn Worth. Mina's first husband, John Ernest Hubbard was my mother father.

Mina divorced John Hubbard and later married John Francis (Frank) Gordon. Mina is buried next to John Gordon. John Gordon had three sons. I only met one who came to many of our family get togethers. My Mom said that she does not know anything about a Doris Gordon. John Gordon's boys came from a common-law marriage with a woman who's first name was Midge.

My Mom does not remember hearing anything regarding why the Worth family came west. We actually have very little information, which is why these additional details are exciting. My Mom would like to find out when the Worth's came to the U.S. and from where across the pond they came.

Thanks again for reaching out.

Martha Ella Hooker
Hi Norma,
I transferred Martha's memorial to you. I had requested photos of her and her husband Benjamin Franklin Worth graves. Today I was informed there are no headstone/marker for their graves. I made a note of that in Martha's memorial.

RE: Jerome Bonaparte Worth
You are correct that Genevieve Elaine Hubbard is my mother, but her mother, my grandmother, was Mina Evelyn Worth, daughter of Jerome Bonaparte Worth and Mary Ida "Mamie" Pickle. Not familiar with the Doris (Gordon) Hubbard that you speak of.

Jerome Bonaparte Worth
Norma:

Most of your information is correct, but I can offer some clarifications/corrections. Jerome Bonaparte Worth died May 9, 1943 and was buried in the Santa Rosa Rural Cemetery, Santa Rosa, CA. next to his son Harold Worth. His wife Mary Ida (Mamie) Pickle Worth was buried next to him following her death July 17, 1952.

I have copies of his obituary that state that he was to be buried at the Santa Rosa Rural Cemetery and my mother, Genevieve Elaine Hubbard Justice (Jerome's granddaughter) was present when he was buried in Santa Rosa.

The cemetery has had a lot of vandalism over the years and while Harold Worth's headstone remains their was no headstone for either Jerome or Mamie. We have been in communication with the Santa Rosa Rural Cemetery and they agree with our determination that Jerome & Mamie are buried there. They have also agreed that we can arrange to have a replacement headstone placed over their graves, which my Mother has just ordered.

Also, the spelling of Jerome's middle name was missing the 'e' at the end of Bonaparte. I have sent in a recommendation through the editing process that this be changed. I should also point out that in your narrative it states that his daughter was Nina Worth. Her name (my grandmother) was Mina Evelyn Worth, with an M.

Thanks for your hard work and I appreciate your consideration of my recommendations for changes to your information. Let me know if you have any questions. Thanks.

Rexroat Cemetery, Fonthill, Russell County, Kentucky
Hi Norma:

We will be going through Kentucky in the next several weeks and want to go through the Rexroat Cemetery in Fonthill. It looks like it's a small family cemetery. Any directions available?

Thanks to all the work you have done for so many families....

RE: Mary Adeline Barry
Just to let you know that I removed the date and place of birth for Ebenezer. I don't think it's the same Ebenezer...married at the same time to different wives?
Also if you look at Mary A Barry in your tree, you have some conflicting info.
Birth Feb 20 1846 - (not 1859 as you mentioned)
Death May 15 1882
Marriage Sep 6 1887
Mary's 1887 marriage record identifies her as the daughter of Eben Barry and Harriet Carpenter.

Hello

I declined the Edit for the parental links.
I'm pretty sure that Lydia Worth Barry did not give birth at age 71 to Mary who was born in 1846.
