Many men go fishing all of their lives without knowing that it is not fish they are after.|
~Henry David Thoreau
I was drawn to FAG after loosing a dear friend in a tragic car accident, as well as my only sister suffering a brain injury in a car accident on her way to school--she was a passenger, along with another beloved friend who passed away in the accident. That day changed so many lives forever!
I grew up in a small fishing community in N.C., moved away at the age of 17 and served in the USAF during Desert Storm. I've always enjoyed walking through cemeteries...wondering what each person might have been like in their lifetime. You'll find my "Pappy", beloved father-in-law and mother-in-law and our respective families and beloved friends among the many memorials I've added to FAG; thanks to each of you who take the time remember them!
If you have a question about a memorial I have added, or would like a transfer, please email me. I will do all I can to help. I do my best to honor and lovingly remember those who I memorialize. Always happy to transfer your family and friends. :)
I am always happy and grateful to merge memorials if you do locate an actual burial location of a family member or friend. I am NOT here to post memorials to increase contribution numbers. But to memorialize those who were so loved and are deeply missed.
Thanks for all of you have helped on my quest to remember those who we strive to keep their memory and stories alive!
NOTE: I have many memorials on this site that have no exact location of their graves, (my great grandfather Riley Thomas Lewis is one), but sadly, as many genealogist know, many states, to include North Carolina vital records (births/deaths), were not kept on a statewide basis before October 1913. Therefore, the location of many graves were lost as family members who did know the locations have died. Also, there are many cemeteries with the same names and no accurate documentation of individuals buried there. It actually took me ten years to locate my Dad's cousins who were buried in the "Philyaw Family Cemetery" in Comfort, N.C. because there are 4 such named cemeteries on the same highway.
ALSO: Under new FAG guidelines, it is frowned upon to list the names of 'living family members.' Therefore, if I have done so, it is because they are my family or a close friend of whom their family has approved of the memorial and their living ancestors to be listed. If I have an older memorial and it is your family member that you'd rather living members be deleted, I will be happy to do so, or transfer the memorial to you. Always happy to transfer a memorial, whether it be family or friend. We are all in this together, remembering those we have loved and remember.

|gwen campbell||Cecile Mae Fisher Hall Find A Grave Memorial# 73706626|
Cecile Mae Fisher Hall is actually buried in Point Caswell Cemetery, Pender County.
Just wanted to let you know that Aunt Junie Farmer passed away yesterday in the Vivian Nursing Home. Her services will be held Monday through Gorsulowsky. Take care, Ellen
I came across the Padrick Family cemetery listing and grave photos on another site and noticed when I was going to add her that you had a memorial for her already :)
The cemetery was surveyed in Feb. of 2014 and is listed as a complete survey. It contains a headstone for Palmetta and his other wife Ada who died not long after Palmetta.
Here is the link to the Padrick Family Cemetery if you would like to switch her memorial location over to it:
I'm not related but was researching other family buried in the Richland, Onslow, NC area and came across the cemetery and noticed it was not on FindAGrave so I added it. I hope you have a good evening!

Have you been able to get any info on the upkeep of the cemetery? I still have not been able to find anyone who can give an answer on who's in charge. Still can't get out there either, though I can walk a little bit now.

|Madison ||LAFON FAMILY|
I have a question regarding the relation between you & the Lafon family. Tom Lafon is my Grandmother's father. I would love to know what section he is in. He only had two daughters, so I don't see how you or your daughter is in relation to him,unless he had family we didn't know about. He was a sneaky man so who knows.
Thanks for your time.

Do you know where McDonald Cemetery is located?
Where is the link to the cemetery I am talking about
Hi, the above is at least one of the photo requests you have in Sts. Peter and Paul Cemetery in Springfield, PA. If you would call the cemetery office and post the locations, we volunteers would be happy to fulfill it. Thank you!
