Newly relocated to Forest Lake, MN. My wife and I moved here to be near our daughter and grandson. I have found that participating in both Find A Grave and doing genealogy work on ancestry.com is very satisfying.|
I became aware of Find A Grave and wanted to volunteer. I appreciate how important it is to have a gravestone picture to help complete the story of your ancestors. I want to make that happen for many other people. I've also rediscovered that I like photography.
USE THE EDIT TAB, on the memorial you are asking about, for whatever you want me to do. PLEASE don't send me an email.
If you want me to transfer a memorial to you, just be related to that person, and DON'T FORGET TO USE THE EDIT BUTTON, that's all. If I'm related, too, I may keep them. I'm not going to get uptight about transferring. Happy Volunteering.
“Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside in a cloud of smoke, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming "Wow! What a Ride!”
― Hunter S. Thompson, The Proud Highway: Saga of a Desperate Southern Gentleman, 1955-1967
He is gone
You can shed tears that he is gone
Or you can smile because he has lived
You can close your eyes and pray that he will come back
Or you can open your eyes and see all that he has left
Your heart can be empty because you can’t see him
Or you can be full of the love that you shared
You can turn your back on tomorrow and live yesterday
Or you can be happy for tomorrow because of yesterday
You can remember him and only that he is gone
Or you can cherish his memory and let it live on
You can cry and close your mind, be empty and turn your back
Or you can do what he would want: smile, open your eyes, love and go on.

I want to thank you for the picture of my daddy's grave. I haven't been home in over a decade, so it is really special to me, the day before the anniversary of his death, to be able to "be there." I am currently in the Republic of Korea, so I don't know when I will be back to Santa Maria, but I downloaded your picture so I could visit when I want.
Thanks for explanation. I personally have views on privacy. Living names are not required.

From F A Q's-
"Can I add a memorial from a newspaper obituary or other 3rd party source?
Find A Grave does not discourage the legitimate indexing of the deceased through obituaries or other 3rd party accounts. Newspapers represent a very good source of information as a public record. What we ask is that those who index and memorialize the deceased from newspapers and other 3rd party accounts do so with full respect of copyright, [refrain from adding information about living people,]"
I do not list living people per this statement in in the F A Q's.

There is only a Burton stone with Eunice having a same stone on left side to back. the other side has a plant only a corner stone under it. If your family want to there is plenty of room on back of the big stone. You can add their names and dates there. I know i cost but don't know how much. It's just a idea. Barnett Family Funeral Home
1220 Walnut St ·(785) 863-2020. He can help you. He would know for sure if he is buried there or can tell who to get hold of. But we went thought the whole cemetery today and didn't find his name anywhere. I hope this will help a little
