I'm retired, have been doing genealogical research for the past 20 years, primarily in Darlington County, SC. Most all of the memorials I've added are of relatives of my wife, who is from the Lamar area of the county. Many are "distant" relatives. If you are related to anyone that I've added, and would like to add a bio, picture, or other info to the memorial I would very much appreciate the help. If you are closely related to the individuals, within Findagrave guidelines (siblings, parents, grandparents, or great-grand parents) and would like management privileges transferred to you please let me know.|

|Robert L. Maples, Jr.||Joseph E Powe|
Hi - I see that you left a note on the memorial of Joseph E. Powe (#2510824). He is the brother to my great-great-grandfather Ellerbe F. Powe. I see that you posted his name with the middle name of Ellerbe. I have always wondered if that was what the "E." stood for, their mother's maiden name was Ellerbe. Would you mind supplying me with the source that states his middle name as being Ellerbe? It would be greatly appreciated.

Joe Swinton Walters #125330720 is my great grandfather on my mothers side. I was just wondering if you could transfer management of this memorial to me?
Thanks again for creating this memorial! Your work is greatly appreciated. :)
|Angie||Elizabeth Hudson Watford|
Hello, I see that you have linked Elizabeth Hudson Watford 138236406 to Francis Hudson 68785772. Do you have any proof that Francis is the father of Elizabeth? Francis is my 2x great grandfather and I have not come across this name before. Thank you.

|Rachel Moody||Chapman Byrd|
PAtrick, I am looking for any information you might be able to give me on 2 of your findagrave pages. Harrietta B Chapman Byrd Memorial# 76742873 and Harriett Elizabeth Chapman Byrd Memorial# 76606647. I have been looking for a death record or something that would tell me the parents to these Chapman or if they are even related to each other. Can you please tell me how you found their last Name for them? If you have seen a death record for either one of them? Thanks for your help Rachel Moody firstname.lastname@example.org

I am happy to see that you photographed the gravestone of Allen Alford in Round O Baptist Cemetery (Memorial# 118571904).
I would like to add this gravestone photo to the (non-profit) Alford American Family Association's collection of South Carolina Obituaries, where his obituary is (or will be) included. You can see the current collection at http://www.alfordassociation.org/OBITS/SCOBIT.htm.
May I have your permission to include your gravestone photos? If so, the photo caption will say:
Photo from [cemetery name, city, county, state]—www.findagrave.com
Permission granted by the photographer, Patrick Yearty
And thanks so much for your gravestone photo work!

I really appreciate your response . I've been searching for Emma James Vanderschaaf , esp since she & her husband lived in the District of Columbia . Her 1st cousin, my Grandmother moved to Wash DC abt 1931/32 and lived not far from Emma Vanderschaaf & her husband. Unfortunately, I do not have any living relatives to help me in my search. I did contact Philip LeRoy Vanderscahaaf's brother's family . However , they did not know. I may contact Philip LeRoy Vanderschaaf's sister's family of Florida . They visited Cuba together.
If , I find her grave I will list it on Find a Grave. Yes, I need to clarify how many grave stones are in the Robert James grouping. I have not found the grave of Joseph James Sr b. 1818 England d. 1888 Darlington .
Thank you for all your research .

Thank you so much for your wonderful, generous compliment. I enjoy researching and writing biographies of men in my family who served our country. And I very much appreciate all the hard work you've done on photographing their headstones.

I did not ask this question abt these graves of Robert E . James Family Find A Grave Memorial# 91852124 in the Lamar cemetery. Wre there just 5 grave markers in his family grouping ? I am just checking to see if I missed any of his family that may be buried there. I live in Maryland & am not able to check myself . He had another daughter Emma M James Vanderschaaf who I have not located as yet . Thank you so much .
Thanks for the photos and edits!
