| Bio and Links | I HAVE BEEN INVOLVED IN GENEALOGY FOR OVER 15 YEARS SPENDING OVER 3 HOURS PER DAY SINCE I'VE BEEN RETIRED, WORKING ON MY FAMILY HISTORY. MOST OF MY FAMILY IMMIGRATED TO NEW ENGLAND FROM 1620 THRU THE LATE 1600'S THEN CONTINUED SLOWLY WEST TO THE MIDWEST WHERE THEY SEEM TO HAVE STOPPED. I HAVE TWO OTHER BRANCHES IN MY TREE, ONE IS FROM GERMANY AROUND 1847 THRU CANADA AND THE OTHER STARTED FROM N. IRELAND ABOUT 1740 AND CAME THRU FRANKLIN AND WASHINGTON COUNTIES IN PENNSYLVANIA. I HAVE MADE MANY TRIPS TO FIND DEAD RELATIVES AND STILL HOPEFULLY HAVE MANY MORE TO COME. IF I CAN BE OF ANY HELP ON ANY OF THE PEOPLE'S GRAVES THAT I HAVE ENTERED, OR IF YOU HAVE ANY FURTHER INFO ON ANY OF THE PEOPLE THAT I HAVE SUBMITTED, I WOULD LOVE HEARING FROM YOU. ON A PERSONAL NOTE, I HAVE A WONDERFUL WIFE WHO THINKS MY GENEALOGY OBSESSION IS CUTE BUT SILLY, TWO WONDERFUL PUPPY AND 2 GREAT SINGLE AND NOT LOOKING, SONS, AND ONE SON WHO IS JUST MARRIED AND VERY HAPPY. | |

 | Samuel Clemens Many thanks for all the time and effort you spent trying to find Samuel Clemens grave. Finding information on him has been very difficult, but at least I've learned that he was buried at Mt.Hope Cemetery in Claysville. Again many thanks.

 | RE: Nathan Patterson Thanks again, yes that Nathan 1846 that married Lydia Houston is my 3rd great grand uncle. I have not been able to locate a burial for him, not listed in the Cross Creek Cemetery, so maybe you will come across him!

 | Thompson photo The cemetery told me they had no record of either Mr. or Mrs....but they said if the marker was there it would be in one of two sections. I had other requests for those sections so I walked the section and found it in section 1 lot 70. I gave that info to the cemetery folks so they could update their records. | | | | [View all messages...] |
