Bio and Links
Bio Photo I will be happy to take photos, especially of the brave men and women resting or memorialized at Fort Rosecrans National Cemetery.

My father, Sgt William Edward Crowley, was killed 15 July 1944 when his B-24 collided with another B-24 while on a bombing mission over Yap Island. I was 10 months old. While he is memorialized on the Wall of the Missing in Manila American Cemetery, I arranged a marker be placed in Fort Rosecrans so I can "visit" him near my home in downtown San Diego.

I become fond of the people whose graves I visit and photograph. It's rewarding. There's a serenity about the experience.

My Ancestors I'm researching include:
CROWLEY, FARRELL, WARD (Ireland to Kingston, Ontario, to Chicago);
EDWARDS, BRYAN, ARNOLD, MCCRANIE, NORRIS (Florida, Alabama, NC and Georgia)

Mt Carmel Cemetery-Chavoen gravesites
Hi Sharon-That worked-I looked for Albert and found him and then I found Monica...and then I found Albert's parents. Photos are on all pages. Of note, Laura's headstone and the Albert/Monica headstone are, indeed, at the head. Albert Sr's headstone is placed as a footstone. I'm not sure why...Mary

Augustus Crowley
I uploaded a photo of the location of his gravesite. The office confirmed that there is no marker for him, so I placed flowers at the gravesite & snapped a photo. If you don't want the photo on the page, just lemme know & I'll delete it.

Incidentally, if anyone should happen to go looking for him in Mount Carmel's computer records, they have his first name spelled as Agustus, with no U after the first A.

I also sent you an edit giving the complete gravesite location since you didn't have the Lot number.

Take care,

Cyn Plahuta

Augustus Crowley at Mount Carmel in Hillside, IL
On his memorial page, it says "No headstone." So by putting in a photo request, do you mean you want a photo of the site even tho there's no headstone, or do you mean it hasn't really been confirmed there's no headstone?

Well, either way, I'll stop at the office & get his exact location because I'm fairly familiar with Section 32, & find out whether or not there's a headstone. If there's not, I'll upload a photo of the gravesite & you can lemme know if you want me to delete it or not.

Take care,

Cyn Plahuta

I did not look under Crowley. The cemetery has a database kiosk. I should be back there sometime this week (depending on the weather) and will look her up as Monica Crowley and let you know...Mary

Ward family line
Hi I am tracking Patrick Ward and Mary O Brien Ward parents of Charlotte (Lottie) Ward Koehler my great great granmother I found the Christening Record for Anna Louise Koehler this is Charlotte Ward and John Koehler's daughter. I also find a birth record for Charlotte L Koehler with the same date of birth as Anna July 26 1892 so I'm not sure if it's the same person or if she was a twin. Christening record only showed Anna and no Charlotte. Children of Patrick and Mary Ward I couldn't find were William Ward approximately born in 1865 State of Illinois USA and Catherine Ward approximately born in 1857 in State of Wisconsin USA Any help you can give I appreciate it. Any help I can give you let me know I am happy to help. Thank you for your hard work.

Find A Grave Memorial# 3404890 Calvin Harrigan
Hello! I was wondering if you would allow me to attach (with appropriate credit given) your headstone photo from this memorial to my tree on Ancestry?

Thanks for considering my request. :)
