Bio Photo I am TOTALLY addicted to FIND A GRAVE! I try to research every person I enter, to the best of my ability. Any info, questions or a goof up on my part, drop me a line. Would love to hear from anyone!!! Be kind, I'm only human.

Please don't be nasty and "demand" a memorial transfer. Ask politely or you will be ignored.

Seaman VS Pine Ridge
Rosalie, can you help me with the distinction between Seaman Cemetery and Pine Ridge Cemetery? When I was looking for the Reichles, I came to the conclusion that Seaman was now actually part of Pine Ridge.
I see that the relatives I was looking for, the Reichles, have duplicate memorials in both as do several others.
I noticed you have entered in both so thought you might be willing to help me on this.
Thanks
Elaine

Kropp Family
Hello Rosalie
My name is Wayne Koebel and I live in Canada. For years now I have been researching the Koebel Family Tree. And like most families some members went to USA.
The branch that I am interested in is:M.Rosie Starr 1868-1912, Her 1st marriage was to Adam Koebel 1863-1886 Canada, she gave birth to a son Ambrose Adam Koebel 1886-1945 shortly after Adam died.

In 1887 she married Bernard J Kropp 1866-1924 Canada, and had eight more children, they moved to MI.

Her 1st child Ambrose Koebel 1886-1945, evolved into Edward Adam Kabell he married Cynithia Courtwright 1889-1953 I suspect they are buried in Luce County MI but I have never been able to track there Grave site down.I have his death in Pentland,Luce County, MI & his wife at Tahquamenon Hospital East Victory Newberry MI This is the Grave Marker I would like to see,but I have run out of leads.
They never had any children, but they did raise his half brother Wm Jay Kropp son,who went under the name of Crawford (Bud) Kabell 1920-1981 he is buried at Forest Home Cemetery Newberry,Luce County, MI.USA
I have been able to collect some info on the other Kropp children and I suspect they may be buried in Elmwood Cemetery ,Grayling ,Crawford County ,Michigan, USA but again I not sure ?
Rosie Kropp died MI.
Joseph Kropp (M)Ida Gordon died Tahquamenion,MI
John Kropp (M)Cora B Smith & Ella Failes
Alex Kropp (M) Catherine Brady
Barney Kropp
Wm Jay (M) Gladys Peak died Schoolcraft Co,MI
Florence Kropp (M) Franklin Peak
Anna Kropp
From reading your message,I am hoping maybe you can help me solve some of my questions. If I were a little younger (75Yrs)I drive up to your part of the Country and see if I could find the answers.
If you are not interested that's OK too, I understand. I can be reached at wjk4@golden.net
Thanks for taking the time to read this.
Respectfully Wayne Koebel

Thomas welch
I came across your notes for Thomas Welch DOD 09/03/1904 and would like to inquire as to where you obtained the family information. Catherine Welch Etue is my great great grandmother. Her mother Catherine Cove Welch died June 10, 1909 in Bay City Michigan, per her death certificate. Please advise.
Thank you, Debbie Hovis

Betty Lee Fehrman
Genealogically speaking, Betty's actual maiden name is "Sherman", although she was raised with the children of Joseph F. DePlonty, after he married (second) Neta Ione (Boyer) Sherman Deplonty.

Betty was the daughter of Lee Sherman and his wife, Neta Ione (Boyer) Sherman... as was her brother, Orville Lee Sherman.

The Sherman children were raised together with Joseph's children: Thomas, Elinor ("Ellie"), and Delores DePlonty... all of whom were born of Joseph and his first wife, Clara "Carrie" (Barror) DePlonty, who passed away in 1926.

Although Betty and Orville were always considered (and considered themselves) as "DePlonty", they were born as "Sherman"... and lived as "DePlonty".
