Bio

Patrick King-bio: A native of southern California; He has called Texas "home" for the last 37 years; having lived in El Paso, San Antonio, Cibolo and presently is residing in Largarto along the west shores of Lake Corpus Christi, along with his wife Dawn, of nine years and a daughter, Deniella Mae, aged six.
He has served in the U.S. Army from 1971-1974, and with the Army Reserves from 1974-1976.
History, particularly U. S. Western history has been a life-long passion of his since early childhood. He is also a writer who has authored two magazine articles on U.S. Western history topics. The first being published in 1979 for Old Timers Wild West Magazine, and the second one in 1995 for True West Magazine. He was also a contributing writer and 'cited' author mentioned by Historian Mr. Leon Claire Metz of El Paso in his book, John Wesley Hardin-Dark Angel of Texas, (1995), and gained Mr. Metz' acknowledgements for his contributions to his publication.
He is a graduate of American Intercontinental University (AIU), gaining a Bachelor of Arts degree in Digital Communication and Illustration in 2007. He has also attended Capella University of Chicago for two years, studying Clinical Psychology from 2008 through 2009, but transferred to the American Public University System (APUS) in Charles Town, West Virginia, that same year. There, he Graduated in 2015 with a Master's degree U. S. History.
In October 2010, Mr. King was hired to serve as the Executive Director for the Taft Blackland Museum in Taft, Texas. Among his duties as a museum director, he also served as a public speaker, historian, curator, archivist, tour director, facilities manager, funds and grant researcher. He also served as a committee member for Oral history, Education, and Special Projects with the San Patricio County Historical Commission and was the county history educator until his retirement in 2019. He now serves as a part-time historian and genealogical researcher in a for- profit capacity. I do charge for my time, expertise and travel.
