RE: Bertha Readhead Walker
If you found an obituary, I will okay the edit and be delighted to have the information myself. I have Newspaper Archives, but they have that paper only through 1977, so I do have her husband's. Also on Ancestry and Family Search I have been able to find only the Florida Death Index, neither of which give the birth place. So thank you so very much for this information I have looked for so diligently. If you should find the time, I would appreciate a copy of that obit. Our email address is on our profile page. Thanks again so much!

Bertha Readhead Walker
Ann-- You sent an edit for Bertha's birthplace (a change to Pitcairn, Allegheny, Pennsylvania). I have been unable to find an actual record for Bertha's birth giving that information and would appreciate seeing it. The Census and other records just give Pennsylvania. Bertha's mother, Elizabeth Zimmer is my 2nd great-aunt, and she was born in Trumbull County, Ohio, married in Athens County, Ohio in 1894 and in the 1900 Census they are still living in Ohio. Any help in the form of an actual record would be much appreciated. Thanks!

Ann - Thank you for coming out to Pleasant Grove and taking all these photos over Memorial Day weekend. When I was in band in Murphysboro, we'd go out to the cemetery to play on Memorial Day. Quite a wonderful memory.

Thank you, Ann, for taking her headstone photo. She was the step-mother of a family who went to the same church I did in M'boro.

Thanks for taking his headstone photo. His daughter was in high school when I was.
