To change information click on the "EDIT" tab at the top right of the memorial. If I reject an edit, please contact me should you need to know the reason (usually it's a date typo that doesn't make sense, or a duplicate request). No "proof" necessary - most people do their homework, and I'm good with that.

PLEASE DO NOT ADD ANY PHOTOS YOU DID NOT TAKE or add photographs of obituaries.

DUPLICATES happen. Let me know in the "other comments" section of the "Suggest a Correction" section and include the number of the original memorial in the event that it is one that has been transferred to me. FAG has to delete transferred memorials that are duplicates, and needs that original number.

Please be as specific as you can in stating relationships. My decision, on a case-by-case basis. I DO transfer out of FAG Guideline. Most people request memorials for the right reasons: they know and care about the person they're requesting. I generally transfer those who are not my family or close friends. Too many do NOT have someone with a personal connection.

OBITUARY: please credit the source, name of paper or mortuary, and date. I omit survivors' names (if it is a recent obit - within the last few years)outside of spouse, partner, or parent if I don't have express permission to include them.

MY PHOTOS - OK to use. I would like to know if family photos are being used so I can be sure they're going the right place. I've found a few that have been incorrectly assigned.

I photograph and update cemeteries in Pottawatomie and Riley Counties, Kansas, when I'm not employed as a full-time substitute teacher. I am a member of the Riley County Genealogical Society.

My grave interests come from parents who love history and writing, and frequently told us stories about past (passed) people in our lives. As a preacher's kid I played in cemeteries a lot growing up, and I guess I haven't stopped.

RE: Accident victim virtual cemetery
Good evening,

Just wanted to let you know that I have added your niece to my virtual cemetery and to send you my sincere condolences on the loss of your family member. It would seem she was quite exceptional. It is very unfortunate and so sad that she passed away at such a young age.

I finally found him. He remarried and had 2 more children. I have edits pending for the other kids under Freda to add her so I can't add their dad. If you have any of them he is 70943314. Thanks!!!

RE: Christian Stemen (1747-1844)
Thanks for the reply cousin. The line for me goes Christian, Peter, John, Mary Magdalene (she married David D. Ditto), David McClellan Ditto, Glenn, Dorothy (my grandma who married Vincent Odenweller), Mike, and finally me.

I see where Peter is also a direct line for you also. I live about 10 minutes from Salem Mennonite Cemetery so it's easy for me to stop and pay my respects. We are related to a lot of people buried there.

Thanks for making the edits. It was a bit confusing for both of us, I think. So, I think if you can just change the relationship links on James (29660556) & Robert's page (57684281)... from "your" Alcasta page (114382540)... to my Alcasta page (77210896)... everything will be correct. Then you can just delete your Alcasta page. Confusing even more, huh? Thanks again, Shawn

Thomas D. Bitticker
RE: Elizabeth Bittikofer photo
Not related,as far as I know. My brother went to the region in Switzerland where our ancestor's emigrated from and found the surname to be BŁtticker. What really surprised our family, was that our ancestors emigrated through a "forced" migration. There apparently existed periods when local governments practiced this method when resources were scarce and chose groups of people to make the voyage to America.
