Bio and Links
Bio Photo I'm retired from the Department of Veterans Affairs and living in Douglasville, GA -- in the same county where my ancestors were pioneer settlers ca. 1830.

Since 2006 I have served as Chairman of the Douglas County Cemetery Preservation Commission. We have about 50-60 old, abandoned cemeteries in the county -- some of them very well concealed back in the woods. Each one is now cleaned at least once a year by the cemetery commission and a crew of county jail inmate trustees. I'm in the perfect job to be taking photographs of tombstones and providing information about them.

RE: Pray Cemetery
I'm sorry...I think you have the wrong person. I don't have a Mrs. Gable. I'm not familiar with this Cemetery. Chanavee

Jane Stacy Eubanks
Bryant Family
You are very welcome. I have my husbands Bryant family in a virtual cemetery on my bio page. The only ones I know of were from Texas.

Ergle-Hix Cemetery
I drove down Highway 78 past Winston School but didn't find it. Could you give me the address where it is or what it is close to?

Peyton Noland, re. Samuel G. Mozley
We have never found any proof that Samuel G. Mozley's middle name was Gathright or Garth as some believe. I personally believe that Gathright is probably his middle name based on naming patterns etc. BUT my cousin Rusty, who has tons more experience as a genealogist than I could ever have, says that putting Gathright as his middle name is how genealogical errors are perpetuated, so I have decided to use his name as Samuel G. Mozley as every record that we can find has, and just add that I believe that his middle initial may be short for Gathright. Even Miles G. Mozley, one of his sons, never used a full name associated with the G. I truly wish that these old ancestors had been more concerned for us decendants who wanted to write their history and had left wills and used their full name at all times, but I think that they were too busy trying to make a living to be worried about any of us nosy descendants!

Thank you so much for all that you have done and all that you do each day. You are amazing and deserve lots of thanks and admiration!

Your cousin
