Bio and Links
Bio Photo I'm from McNairy County, Tennessee. I found this site while working on my family tree. I have a passion for genealogy. Greatfully I have found my mom and dad's sides of the family back for several generations. I'm happy to be a member of this website. Also I appreciate everyone's contributions of "Flowers" to my mother Hattie Louise Lowrance Yarbrough, my brother and sister Charles Lynn Yarbrough and Glenda Ann Yarbrough, and any of my memorials. Your kindness is greatly appreciated.

My photos are available for non-commercial use.

I've met many wonderful people on this site and I'm thankful for all of them.

Brother ~ Charles

Sister ~ Glenda

RE: Rosie-Union Cemetery in Lauderdale
Now my question is this, which cemetery is it? If both were called Union Cemetery. I was going by tradition...Lightfoot Cemetery from another family member that I can't even remember the name of...and the memory of my mother who was in her 80's. I'll keep my records stating Lightfoot Cemetery. I just wish she had a headstone in one of the two cemeteries to give us something solid to fall back on.
I appreciate all your hard work with the genealogy research. I'm enjoying the reading and love the photo collection!! Again, thank you.

Rosie-Union Cemetery in Lauderdale
Sue, I have a death certificate that I copied from the internet that says it is of a Mrs J C Grantham in Henning TN. The place of burial is the old Union Cemetery (which has now changed its name to Lightfoot Cemetery in Lauderdale Co., TN. through research in their public library in Ripley, TN). This is believed to be my grandmother, Rosie Lee Lowrance Grantham. Anyway, what my quandary is is you have in this memorial that Rosie is buried at the Gooch Lowrance Cemetery. Is this through family knowledge? My mother, Mary Louise Grantham Martindale, had always stated that she could remember that where the grave was a tall headstone was by her mother. We would always go to Lightfoot where we had heard she had been buried and later seen this death certificate. I'm hoping that I'm not wrong here. Could you please help me out with what's what. Thank you.

Looking for Stinnett Graves
Hey Sue, so glad to see you are in McNairy! My family is looking for the graves of William Stinnett (1789-1847) and his wife Catherine Smith Stinnett (1801-1848).

James Monroe Stinnett (born 1820), was one of their three children, and was county judge in Ouchita County, AR. Marissa Stinnet was one child, and the other was Thomas L Stinnett.

Thanks so much!
