Bio and Links
Bio Photo Hi and thanks for "digging in" and checking me out, I "gravely" appreciate it!

I enjoy researching and finding out about my past ancestors and locating where they are buried. I feel that each and everyone of them are important and that no ancestor should be left behind. For me, it's not about who has the most numbers, for me its about being connected with the past and helping others.

I thank all the wonderful volunteers who have shared their spare time with us in order to take pictures of headstones for me and thousands of others who are trying to get in touch with there past, I truly appreciate each and every one of you, thanks!

If you find that I have posted incorrect information, or you have updated information please send me an email with the individuals FAG number along with the information and I would be happy to update the information. I try to be as accurate as I can but, please keep in mind that sometimes mistakes are made, please help me keep all of them correct.

The Best person to keep up a memorial page is a family member. Please let me know your connection to them and I will be happy to transfer them to you if your connection to them is closer then mine! It is not about having the most Memorials, It is about remembering those who have passed away and doing the best we can at being accurate. As each Memorial is created, treat it as you would a precious loved one.

If you have any information on any of my family surnames please contact me.

The below names in my family tree are only a partial list of my main surnames.

Robbins
Tilley
Johnson
McGulpin
Kim
Weatherford
Treece
Beavers
Bodrero

Courtney

And many, many, many more :)

Thank you,

Don

I took a photo of the grave marker for Amy Flora, Find A Grave # 87268751. You've done quite a bit of family history, so I wanted to let you know.

BURTON CHAMBERS, Photo Request
Your photo request you will have to contact Lake County Cemetery Maintience District at LCCMD@centurytel.net and ask the cemetery manager the location of this grave site. Then post that location on the memorial you want a photo of that tombstone, if there is one. If there is no tombstone would you be satisfied with a photo of the area close to where that person is buried?

Alma Croom
I was at Big Springs yesterday and wanted to confirm to you that Alma Croom is unmarked. I found a good directory and she's between Napoleon Croom and William / Jane Gardner (your photo requests oddly enough).

If you like, I'd be glad to take a photo of the spot. Just let me know.

Croom
I went to Mays Cemetery this morning. It's back in the woods on a neighbors property. I took photos of all the stones but couldn't find any Crooms. There are several unmarked graves though. Sorry I couldn't fulfill the requests. I did take a couple of photos of the cemetery. I'll get them all posted soon.

Douglas Blickfeldt
The head stone for Douglas has not been set yet. I took pictures of the grave site with the flowers. The funeral was just a day before your request. I posted one picture with a card and will email you a picture of the site with all flowers. If you want me to delete the picture that I posted, please let me know.

William Hardin & William Henry Weatherford
Hello Don,

Going through my list of messages I found yours, and I'm embarrassed to say I don't recall if I ever replied to you or not, nor could I find a reply in your listings...
The information you gave was exciting! It's always wonderful to discover new relatives. I'm not a Weatherford by birth,
but it is my married name, and I am the family genealogist for both my side of the family and my husband's. Are you a member of the family as well?

Hi,

I came across your note on William Hardin Weatherfords Find A Grave Memorial# 61426984
where you state the following:
Note: Possible relation to William Henry Weatherford 1832-1921 (Civil War Union Veteran buried Macon Co., IL, see memorial #23543975)?
I was also curious and discovered the following connection:
For William Harden Weatherford:
William Harden Weatherford (1883-1923) son of
William Thomas Weatherford (1856-1955) son of
Harden Weatherford (1932-1909) son of
Harbird Harden Weatherford (1806-1852) son of
Money Weatherford (1765-1830) son of
John Weatherford (1726-1793) son of
John Weatherford (1700-1790) son of
William Weatherford (1678-1756) and
Susannah Waller.
For William Henry Weatherford:
William Henry Weatherford (1832-1921) son of
John S Weatherford (1806-1896) son of
John William Weatherford (1774-1857) son of
John Weatherford (1743-1833) son of
Major Weatherford (1715-1874) son of
William Weatherford (1678-1756) and
Susannah Waller.
All that said, Major Weatherford (1715-1874) and John Weatherford (1700-1790) were brothers making William Henry Weatherford and William Harden Weatherford cousins (not sure of the number) via there common shared ancestors William Weatherford (1678-1756) and Susannah Waller.
