I hope that my entries aid you in finding your family! My PRIMARY INTENT is to get the information up from the stones & records for those that haven't found the burial spots of their loved ones and to preserve information from these stones. Please note, many are put up from cemetery records...as is. I'm aware that there are many errors in these records, but I rarely make assumptions as to proper spelling, etc. with the exception of death month which is often based on interment date. Generally speaking, I do not research each memorial. I would be happy to transfer any of your relative's memorials I have created that are unrelated to me - please let me know the relation. I'd prefer they be with someone in their family or someone with a connection to complete a more fitting memorial!|
Any photos I have posted are gifts - free for family or friends to use as you please for non-commercial purposes. I have also assumed responsibility for many memorials from inactive/deceased contributors so just because they've been transferred to me doesn't mean they are my relatives. If you add something to one of my memorials, please notify me through the edit tab so that I can update the memorial.
I'm human, I make mistakes. If you find some, please use the edit button on the memorial to advise me. Patience is a virtue - I am not retired and have young children, but will address emails as soon as I can.
A special THANK YOU to those who visit my family. I TRULY appreciate it - it means the world to me!:

*~* MY SPECIAL FAMILY FINDS: *~*
After 35+ years of research, I finally found:
My GG-Grandfather Gustave "Gus" Werner in May of 2012 as well as his twin baby girls and 2 more of his baby granddaughters. (thanks to FindAGrave & J F-B)
My GGG-Grandparents Joseph Newby and his wife Letitia Hastie (Dark) Newby in August of 2012 (good old fashioned research).
Another GG-Grandfather William Lewis Horn found March 6, 2013 going through old funeral home records. Cemetery records were not available for June 1, 1914 to October, 1920. He died June 15, 1914. Go figure! :)
My GG-Grandmother Jessie Fremont Lane Nelson in January of 2014. (thanks to a FindAGrave friend Mixmastermom)
My Family Ties:
Hoffman, Cain, Willy, Fischer, Werner, Horn, Newby, Schuyler, VanVechten, TenBroeck, Roosevelt, Bush, Frawley, Nelson, Hannagan, Lane, McCormick, Sassenrath

"A Genealogist must have the patience of Job; the curiosity of a cat; the stubbornness of a mule; the eyesight of an eagle; be blessed with the luck of the Irish and have the ability and stamina of a camel to go long hours without food or drink." -The Herald, Vol.18, No. 3 & 4; 1995
Your tombstone stands among the rest;
Neglected and alone.
The name and date are chiseled out
On polished, marbled stone.
It reaches out to all who care
It is too late to mourn.
You did not know that I exist
You died and I was born.
Yet each of us are cells of you
In flesh, in blood, in bone.
Our blood contracts and beats a pulse
Entirely not our own.
Dear Ancestor, the place you filled
One hundred years ago
Spreads out among the ones you left
Who would have loved you so.
I wonder if you lived and loved,
I wonder if you knew
That someday I would find this spot,
And come to visit you.
"It is amazing what you can accomplish if you do not care who gets the credit." ~ Harry S Truman

Thank you for posting a memorial for my late great- aunt Dimple Carr. My grandmother was her sister. Dimple died in 1914, at the age of 22, before any of my mother (her niece) or her siblings were born, so they never knew her.
May she continue to rest in peace.

|Stephen Kronberg||RE: Connor|
Kim - You are most welcome. In working the next row of this lot I found two more Conner(s) Howard 1916-1988 and Alice 1917-2009. They do not have Find A Grave memorials, let me know if they are related and if you wish to add memorials, follow the same procedure. Thank you, Stephen

St. John's Cemetery Kansas City, KS- Do you know if a listing exists on burials for that cemetery? I am looking for a small boy Timmy Meyers 4-10yrs in age that was the son of Charles Frederick Meyers #121031284. Family lore is he fell off a woodpile and died from complications. It is most likely an unmarked grave. It does appear there is room in the family plot for him.
Where would you suggest me researching since I am temporarily in Kansas City area?

|Steph McGrath||RE: Delia Cain|
I see we are both on ancestry. My Cains are from Co Mayo, while it appears yours are from Co Kerry.
I have a couple of other Wenona Cain obits I will send you. I think they are your Cains.
|Steph McGrath||RE: Delia Cain|
I didn't transcribe it because I wasn't sure if she fit into "my" Cains. It's on microfilm at the Bond Public Library in Wenona IL. They don't have a printer. But maybe they could get it to you another way. I'm not local to there.
