I hope that my entries aid you in finding your family! My PRIMARY INTENT is to get the information up from the stones & records for those that haven't found the burial spots of their loved ones and to preserve information from these stones. Please note, many are put up from cemetery records...as is. I'm aware that there are many errors in these records, but I rarely make assumptions as to proper spelling, etc. with the exception of death month which is often based on interment date. Generally speaking, I do not research each memorial. If you add something to one of my memorials, please notify me through the edit tab so that I can update the memorial.|
Any photos I have posted are gifts - free for family or friends to use as you please for non-commercial purposes. I would be happy to transfer any of your relative's memorials I have created that are unrelated to me - please let me know the relation. I'd prefer they be with someone in their family or someone with a connection to complete a more fitting memorial!
I'm human, I make mistakes. If you find some, please use the edit button on the memorial to advise me. Patience is a virtue - I am not retired and have young children, but will address emails as soon as I can.
A special THANK YOU to those who visit my family. I TRULY appreciate it - it means the world to me!:

*~* MY SPECIAL FINDS: *~*
After 35+ years of research, I finally found:
My GG-Grandfather Gustave "Gus" Werner in May of 2012 as well as his twin baby girls and 2 more of his baby granddaughters. (thanks to FindAGrave & J F-B)
My GGG-Grandparents Joseph Newby and his wife Letitia Hastie (Dark) Newby in August of 2012 (good old fashioned research).
Another GG-Grandfather William Lewis Horn found March 6, 2013 going through old funeral home records. Cemetery records were not available for June 1, 1914 to October, 1920. He died June 15, 1914. Go figure! :)
My GG-Grandmother Jessie Fremont Lane Nelson in January of 2014. (thanks to a FindAGrave friend Mixmastermom)
My Family Ties:
Hoffman, Werner, Fischer, Horn, Newby, Schuyler, VanVechten, TenBroeck, Roosevelt, Bush, Cain, Willy, Frawley, Nelson, Hannagan, Lane, McCormick, Sassenrath
~ My FaG Projects: ~
I'm currently working on photographing & documenting burials in (primarily) 4 Wyandotte County, KS cemeteries:
*** Mount Hope - ALL memorials from the cemetery records are posted, and about 95% of the stones. We are still finding burials not in the records.
*** Quindaro - ALL memorials from the cemetery records are posted, but only about 40% of the stones. **Please note, I put much of this one up by spreadsheet. This process did a lousy job of catching duplicates so there are many. Don't hesitate to bring to my attention, but if you find multiples - please send 1 email with links.
*** Woodlawn - About 85% of the memorials are up from cemetery records. ***Month is interment month.
*** Oak Grove - Just getting started.
(I can also do look-ups on these 4 cemeteries.)
I also do some work in Memorial Park, Highland Park, Chapel Hill, St John's & Mt Calvary & anywhere else in the area that the wind blows me that day. :)

"A Genealogist must have the patience of Job; the curiosity of a cat; the stubbornness of a mule; the eyesight of an eagle; be blessed with the luck of the Irish and have the ability and stamina of a camel to go long hours without food or drink." -The Herald, Vol.18, No. 3 & 4; 1995
Your tombstone stands among the rest;
Neglected and alone.
The name and date are chiseled out
On polished, marbled stone.
It reaches out to all who care
It is too late to mourn.
You did not know that I exist
You died and I was born.
Yet each of us are cells of you
In flesh, in blood, in bone.
Our blood contracts and beats a pulse
Entirely not our own.
Dear Ancestor, the place you filled
One hundred years ago
Spreads out among the ones you left
Who would have loved you so.
I wonder if you lived and loved,
I wonder if you knew
That someday I would find this spot,
And come to visit you.
"It is amazing what you can accomplish if you do not care who gets the credit." ~ Harry S Truman

Thank you for your contributions. I was wondering if it's possible to get a picture of Matt Muvrin's gravestone. His grandson once told us that it has a photo on it of Matt that we've never seen.

I just posted his obit. and linked to his father and mother. Thought you might like this. I'm thinking I sent you the obit. for Mary Willy. If not, let me know.

Hi Kim - I will delete my memorial, but 1st I would like to ask my photographer to place the headstone photo at your memorial...(or perhaps you could ask?). I appreciate their effort. I do have the Queen name in my family, but no not know if there is any relationship here.
How do you make the links blue to a memorial on your profile page.

The Gemmell Family was killed in Maryland when the plan crashed into their house.
We have created memorials for the mother & two children.
The mother was found shielding the two children from the fire & smoke.
Please help us pass the word to have other Find A Grave member show their support & stop by the memorials.
