Bio and Links
Bio Photo PLEASE use the EDIT to ask for transfers, with your ID # and the PHOTO REQUEST if you want a photo of the stone for EACH person listed. I try to get other family near the one requested in case they are not already listed, but if they are already listed it is nice if you also request them. I print off the requests from the computer, and the "notes" don't show if you ask for other family members. You have my permission to use my photos of the stones for your family records.

It is my wish that everyone is remembered, this is my way of helping make it happen. We all will make mistakes, I'm happy to make changes and transfer loved ones always hoping that you can add to their memorials. I just want to help, when I find more information and send an edit, it is sad when that isn't added. I am so thankful for the ones that put family of ours on, some we had no idea where were, so you can see what a blessing Find A Grave has been.

Today this seems to be the case- Author Unknown
An old man, a boy and a donkey were going to town. The boy rode on the donkey and the old man walked. As they went along the road they passed some people who remarked, "What a shame the old man is walking and the boy is riding." The man and boy thought maybe the critics were right, so they changed positions. Later they passed some people who remarked, "What a shame, he makes that little boy walk." So they then decided they'd both walk. Soon they passed some more people who remarked, "They're really stupid to walk when they have a donkey to ride." So they both rode the donkey. Now they passed some people who shamed them by saying, "How awful to put such a load on a poor donkey?" The boy and man figured they were probably right, so they decided to carry the donkey. As they crossed the bridge, they lost their grip on the donkey and he fell into the river and drowned. The moral to the story? If you try to please everybody, you might as well kiss your ass goodbye!

Having expressed this I have to say, most all of the people are easy to please. There are occasionally some who aren't, it is extremely hard to read people's minds. If you send information try to tell us how you want it added or used. It is really helpful if you send it directly to that persons memorial page, but I'll do my best to add & give credit to you however you get it to me. Thank you all who have sent links and info to make memorials more then just names and dates!

RE: Elizabeth DeWitt Penrod
You would think with so many people posting him on Ancestry, someone would know where he is buried. Thanks for getting back with me.

Elizabeth DeWitt Penrod
You posted the tombstone picture of this lady #20944666 on Find A Grave. Did you happen to notice if her husband Jacob was buried there too? I am trying to find where he is and so far no luck. His name is Jacob Penrod and he was born Dec 23, 1819 in Ohio and died June 1, 1895 in Richardson Co., Nebraska. I was hoping maybe his tombstone is there too. If so I can put him on Find A Grave then you can post the picture.
Thanks,

Carolyn

Lydia Buck
Thanks Luella, I had found all the census records and knew the 1900 census had that month and year for a birth which distinguished her from the other Lydia Wisler that lived in Omaha, NE in 1900-1912. I just can't find anything linking a Lydia Wissler maiden to Mrs. Lydia Buck. I put an unconfirmed statement on her bio, hopefully it is right anyway. I know that "undocumented genealogy is mythology" and I try very hard to confirm the edit suggests sent to me. Hopefully a relative will be able to confirm it with some documentation. Thank you again!

Hi Luella:

Thought you might find this genealogy page of interest. Doug's cousin put it together. Hasn't been updated in several years, but still has some good info:)

Lydia Buck edit
Hello,
I was hoping you might have some documentation that proves Lydia Buck was Lydia Wissler. I believe that if I can find proof that her maiden name was Wissler then the date of birth would link her to Robert & Elizabeth as the other Lydia Wisler/Wissler was born in Sep 1893 not April. I just cannot find Lydia Buck confirmed maiden Wissler.

Obits
So many of the current obits are online anyway on funeral home sites or newspapers sites with the kids' names, it really isn't much of a safeguard to deny us the right to post. As you say, a lot is probably about money.

Memorials
I heard that somebody in that area has a large collection of obits. Sure would be great if they could get permission to post them. We did that for a couple cemeteries, and it adds so much to the process!
