RE: Re: Valentine Hornung
Good Morning!

Thank you for you speedy response. I recently subscribed to a newspaper site, and have been practicing with it. It shortly became clear to me that the search engine doesn’t always pull up a name, even when it is spelled right. One of my own searches took several days, until I searched under “wagon”, since he died when his wagon overturned in a creek. Happy to say yours only took a few tries, so I must be getting the hang of it!

HORNUNG AT ALLEGHENY CEMETERY
Hello!

Could you view the news article I posted to Valentine’s memorial and verify it is him. Everyone else had their own variation of his name!

Little Arlington cemetery
In my research of Fayette Co. cemetery's. Little Arlington is not part of Point Marion. If it is, I haven't seen anything pointing to that theory.

RE: Colonel Thomas Family
Oh that's wonderful! Is there any way I could get a copy of the pictures? I will pay if needed. I will see if I can find any old pictures of dad. I do have some of his military pictures and one of him when mom and dad were dating. I have one of my grandmother Lola Thomas too! I am willing to send them to you via internet just let me know what email to send them to. Thank you so much...my sister and I have been wanting to know more about dads family history. I will.look in my albums to see if I have more from where mom passed away.

Annie Cawley
I've never found death info on Hannah but she & total of 4 children (Isabella, Adelaide, Raymond & Annie) were murdered. Joseph (15 months) survived & my great grandmother ( Joseph's oldest sister) raised him. The oldest son, James, stopped his brother, Charles, who had committed the murders. Another brother had not been attacked. My great grandmother & another sister were married at the time. Hannah's husband, Charles, drowned in the Mon in 1901. If you look up Charles Cawley Ax Murderer on line & go to the article that states Hannah Cawley. There's a Pittsburgh Press article about this. Actually, it made national news.
