SONG OF THE RIVER" The snow melts on the mountain And the water runs down to the spring, And the spring in a turbulent fountain, With a song of youth to sing, Runs down to the riotous river, And the river flows on to the sea, And the water again Goes back in rain To the hills where it used to be. And I wonder if Life's deep mystery Isn't much like the rain and the snow Returning through all eternity To the places it used to know. For life was born on the lofty heights And flows in a laughing stream To the river below Whose onward flow Ends in a peaceful dream. And so at last, When our life has passed And the river has run its course, It again goes back, O'er the selfsame track, To the mountain which was its source.
So why prize life Or why fear death, Or dread what is to be? The river ran its allotted span Till it reached the silent sea. Then the water harked back to the mountaintop To begin its course once more.
So we shall run the course begun Till we reach the silent shore, Then revisit earth in a pure rebirth From the heart of the virgin snow. So don't ask why we live or die, Or wither, or when we go, Or wonder about the mysteries That only God may know.

 | William Pemberton Barbara Ann, in beginning my research on my family tree, I discovered the William Pemberton memorial here and your name as the administrator of it. William and his wife, Rhoda Luck Pemberton, are my 4th great grandparents through the Pemberton line. My maternal grandmother , Lillie Carrington (born Pemberton), was the daughter of Curtis Pemberton. I am excited to know that William and Rhoda are also your 4th great grandparents! I am also interested to know any more on the Pemberton line into Virginia and beyond that you may have. Please feel free to contact me at f.kuemmerle@comcast.net Thanks! Fred Kuemmerle | | | DD

 | Lucille Banks My husband and I will be taking pictures of all of the memorials that you requested for Noel Cemetery in Noel, Missouri. Would you like for us to take a picture of her husband's headstone since we will be there and take care of it all at once? Let me know via email. | | | Ed Stahlnecker
 | Pemberton Cemetery Hello Barbara Ann, While looking for more information on my fifth great grandfather, William Ogle, I found him and his son Daniel listed in a recent Ohio Genweb cemetery listing for Adams County. Someone had submitted the Pemberton (family) Cemetery. There were only 6 people listed. Daniel Ogle was listed as the husband of Rhoda Jane Pemberton. Rhoda and her parents William and Rhoda Luck Pemberton and her brother Nathaniel were the others on the list. I did a casual search and did not find any other memorials for them so I created one for each of the six people there earlier this week. Not wanting to assume that I had not created duplicate memorials, I checked a little further and found your memorial for William. I noticed that you had recently received the transfer of Williams' memorial, since you are a relative. I did not see a link for Williams' wife Rhoda Luck or his other two children listed on the site.
Since the Pembertons were not in my line I was wondering if you would like to take charge of the ones I have created via transfer? If you would like to use any of the information that I included for William that you do not have feel free to do so and I can delete mine so there will not be a duplicate. I would like to retain the memorials for Daniel Ogle and his wife Rhoda Jane Pemberton Ogle.
Take a look at them and see what you think and you can let me know. Here are the Find a grave numbers: William Pemberton # 91738305 Rhoda Luck Pemberton # 91738361 Nathaniel Pemberton # 91738537
Sincerely, Ed Stahlnecker

 | Minnie Oates I received a photo request for Minnie Oates. You listed a Skybuck Cemetery as her resting place. I noticed there was a problem reported. After doing some searching online, I found that she was laid to rest at the Rest Haven Cemetery in Sperry, OK. I will go over and see if I can find a grave marker for her.

 | William Pemberton Barbara - I have transferred memorial over to you- as you are his relative. I had read about the Pemberton family- while doing research of my family. And became interested in their history/story.

 | RE: Billy Dean Queen Barbara, Yes, I placed those flowers there for the picture so you could see where the headstone is located in the area photo. When I began taking photos I left the flowers there, but even from the dollar store it got too expensive with all the photos I've taken. I'm glad that you liked the photo. Have a great week and God Bless. Joyce | | | | [View all messages...] |
