I started researching back in the mid 1960's along with my mother. With the availability of the computer, software and internet I took her 350 names on my father's side and added her so-called "little & secretive family." Over 7,000 names now and growing daily.

 | Canada Do you happen to live in Canada? I ask because the memorial you transfered to me for Edward Littlejohn is in Canada. His wife wasn't listed on find a grave and I was wondering if you had actually been there and if so, was she buried there with him? Her name is Susannah (Morrison) Littlejohn, abt 1814 - 28 Apr 1902. | | | M A Littlejohn
 | RE: Edward Littlejohn Thank you for the transfer! I appreciate it oh so very much! | | | M A Littlejohn
 | Edward Littlejohn Hi. I was lead to a memorial that I was looking a long time for the burial of. It is for an Edward Littlejohn (Find A Grave Memorial# 102379425). I believe this is the right one because I have rough birth and death dates that seem to fit the dates on the memorial and the cemetery is very close to the farm he owned, Bishops Mills Cemetery in Grenville, Ontario, Canada. The person who transfered the assumed grandson's memorial to me had suggested to link his father's memorial to this one I mentioned. So she must have found the connection some how. I am also trying to contact her for any more info. I searched for his wife, Susanna (Morrison) Littlejohn (abt 1818-1902), but can not find her burial. I was hoping you might be able to help. If you knew anything more or where I could contact for burial info. And I was hoping you could transfer Edward Littlejohn's memorial to me so I can edit and maintain it. He would be my 4th great grandfather. My # is 47654605 email is ott003@hotmail.com | | | B.J. Waters
 | RE: Jack Hunter, #42701409 How cute! What a nice photo. So sad that he died so young. Did he catch one of those early childhood diseases, that killed so many children before vaccines were developed?
I can't imagine living in a time when there were no child safety seats for cars, and safety latches for bathroom cabinets, etc. as well as life-saving vaccines. How did folks ever keep their children safe?
I remember as a very young child getting my first polio vaccine. It was liquid on a sugar cube and we waited in line a long time for it. There was no measles-mumps vaccine, and I got both of those diseases. I got the German Measles when I was 18 years old, in Army boot camp.
Anyway, thanks for sharing the photo.
Take care, Bonnie
