The Symbol of the Forget-Me-Not Flower
The Use of a Small, Blue Flower as a Sign of Love and Hope

A legend about the origin of the name forget-me-not is as follows. Once a medieval knight and his lady-love were walking beside a river. The knight held a bouquet in his hands. Because of the weight of the armor, he fell into the water. According to the legend, he threw the bouquet at her shouting forget-me-not.

There is a Christian religious legend according to which the child Jesus Christ created forget-me-nots so that the generations to come would be able to see him and his mother Mary, on whose lap he was sitting.

Ezra Yoder 40853510
Do you know anything more about Ezra Yoder than his birth and death year? I'm looking for an Ezra Yoder that was born in Juanita Co., PA on July 2, 1841 and died on 5/18/1893. He married Harriet Briscoe. His parents were Jacob Yoder 50572120 and Anna Yoder Yoder 7578221, my great-great-great grandparents. Could this be that Ezra?

Nidiffer baby --50780395
I know the stone is extremely difficult to read; do you remember where it is in relation to other Nidiffer graves? I'm wondering if it might be the grave of Bessie Nidiffer, daughter of Felix and Joanna Linder Nidiffer, who died at the age of 4 in 1895. I understand Bessie was buried amongst family. Bessie was a little sister of my grandmother Annie.

Thanks for the good work you've done.

Hello! Thank you for posting this memorial and for the info. May I ask how you know the source of his names? I only ask because he is my granddaughter's great-great-grandfather.
