I enjoy exploring old cemeteries. There is a lot of history in them to be shared. My Family research is in the Christie, Wheeler, Ogburn, Campbell, and Milburn lines. I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and know the importance of geneaology work and temple work for our kindred dead. I hope that some of the graves I transcribe will assist someone that is doing family history research.If I made errors, please let me know and I will correct them. Some of the older stones are deteriorated and hard to read.I am transcribing cemeteries in Columbia, Union, Bradford and Hamilton Counties , Florida. If you are looking for a grave and know where the interment occurred, let me know and I will try to locate it for you.|

It's me again; I have just talked to Tom Ledoux, webmaster of the Vermont Civil War site. He has information for you; death record, pension application of wife, and application for cemetery marker.
If you send me an e-mail address, I'll attach each document & send it along to you.

Thank you so much for sharing the photo of Lewis Eastman. I can't give you exact dates, but records show that he enlisted in Co. G. of the 11th Vermont Volunteers on August 11,1862; His age was reported then as age 18, so that would place his birth about 1844. He was reported as living in Rockingham, Vermont in the 1890 census, but no record after that has been located.I am always looking for such information, so if I find anything more definite, I will send you a message.
Again, Thank you.

I am a Vermont Civil War buff, and am presently working on a project to identify the last resting places of many of our "old soldiers" that had ties to Vt. Lewis Eastman is one such patriot. May I use the photo that you contributed to his Find A Grave Memorial, to post on The Vt.C.W site"? ( www.vermontcivilwar.org)
You would receive credit for this.
Thank you for your consideration.
|David Price||Mary Tillis Tyre|
Mr. Alton, I noticed that you entered Tillis in the above name. She is buried at Bethlehem Cemetery. Would Tillis be the last name of her first husband? I have been looking for the wife of James Tillis who was killed in the Civil War. Her maiden name was Mary Powell. We believe she remarried and this may be her. She had a son named Victor with her first husband that ended up in Polk County. Could this be her?
Thanks so much. Here are some more if you don't mind transferring them to me:
11305788, Jane is his wife.
11301178, Bartley Washington Sapp, his father.
11301221, Bartley's wife.
Just going through editing and linking takes sooo much time. But, thanks for the pictures again!

In bio Dolphus F. Hutchinson, on headstone is spelled HutchIson.
|ColbyFarrington||Rosa Johnson Myers|
Hi. Thank you for letting me know about Rose Johnson Myers. I've asked the owner of the other memorial to update the burial location. Once that's done, I will delete mine. (Until then, I don't want to delete mine and risk losing vital information).

Right, I did mix those around...sorry! :)

Sorry Alton, I thought I was right because of these web entries.
"The following article was dictated by Sarah Rebecca Rivers Moore to her granddaughter Orrie Moore Kendrick in about 1937. It appeared in the centennial edition of the Lake City Reporter on December 13, 1974. Used with permission"
It says Granddaughter, not grandson.
Second: Marriage record
"Florida Marriages, 1837-1974," database, FamilySearch https://familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:FW35-9ZZ : accessed 14 March 2016),
Charlie I Kendrick and Orrie Moore, 28 May 1910; citing Hamilton County, Florida; FHL microfilm 1,015,483.
Contains a hand-written note from Orrie Moore Kendrick.
Fouth: this family tree:
Charles Irving Kendrick
Born: 25 MAY 1883 - White Springs, Florida
Marr: 27 MAY 1912 - White Springs, Florida
Died: 8 AUG 1933 - Mobile, Alabama
Orrie Bell Moore
Born: 4 JAN 1889 - Lake City, Florida
Died: 1982 -
Father: Philip Mahone Moore
Mother: Marion Hortense Stewart
Fifth, Hortense Stewart married Phillip Mahone Moore 10 Jan 1889 in Columbia County, FL - they were Orrie's parents
Sixth: Robert M Kendrick and Ivey were the parents of Charles I Kendrick who married Orrie. They were her in-laws, not her parents.
Hope this clears the mud. So.... you should add Bell as her middle name and leave Moore as her maiden name. (see family tree above that listed her full name)
