Bio Photo Daughter of Cecil Wray Rogers and Evelyn Alice Kurtz Rogers.I was born in Pinckneyville IL in 1964,My Father now retired Captain with The United States Marine Corps was stationed in Okinawa, Japan upon my arrival only received a telegram "It's a Girl" for a few days he believed he had a daughter named Ginger. Much to his surprise my mother changed my name. I have lived at the Marine Corps Base, Camp LeJune, NC, back to Pinckneyville (a small southern town in IL) and then moved to Orlando, FL in 1971. When I married my husband Ray we moved to Apopka, FL and in 1989 I was blessed with the birth of my son Raymond (III). I truly enjoy family history. There are books and articles for my dad's side which have been extremely helpful, and I have been researching my mothers side for many years now and came across this site in 2010. It has been very helpful to me and if I can help anyone else out I will. I create the memorials to show respect to those who have gone before us and as a way to help maintain "Family History". I feel that memorials should be maintained by family, they will be able to honor them better than I, and I wish others would do the same in return. Even though I try my best to create the memorial as accurate as I can, I to make mistakes. Please send corrections and I will do my best to correct them as soon as possible.

At work I do a lot of archiving old photos. Some of my customers bring me hundreds of family photos dating back in the 1800's. I find it so fascinating. I tell them about this site so they may find some of their family members information and leave a note or just some "virtual"flowers.

today October 17, 2012 I received a email from an angry "Lady" who threatened me for creating a memorial for her family member. If I create one and you would like me to remove it, threats are not needed. I feel I am very respectful of the departed and I KNOW many have appreciated the time we volunteers take to create and post memorials. I appreciate the information I have found about my families on Find A Grave, and I THANK EACH and everyone who volunteers!

Greenwood Cemetery
Hi Sharon,

Greenwood has split up section 20 into four sections now (20-1, 20-2, 20-3, 20-4), to make it easier for folks to search for loved ones. You did a number of markers in section 20-2 and I started to send edits, but before I send them all I want to be sure it's okay with you, or do you want to still leave the ones I found as simply "section 20"? Let me known if you'd rather leave plots as section 20 and I will remove the edit requests for 20-2. :)

Re: Photo request in Amelia
Hi Sharon,
I do not live in Amelia anymore only have gotten down there twice last year. I do not drive
so I am sorry but I do not think at least right now I can get that photo taken for you maybe there are some volunteers in the area who can? If I find I can get down there again before you have someone else take it I will let you know that.
My father was a Marine 22 years we also lived near Camp LeJeune in Jacksonville for a year or so before moving on to Parris Island both in the 1960's.

Beth

Lyle Dean Fisher photo
Hi Sharon.
The gravestone photo you added to Lyle Fisher, #58274856, is for his son Lyle Dean Fisher. I have created a memorial for Lyle Dean #173849776. If you would like to add it to that one. If you cannot, I can copy and paste it to the memorial for you. Thanks for all you do!! Scott Bird.

Memorial# 94764023
Hi Sharon,

I am not looking for a transfer, just wanted to let you know that I noticed that there already was a memorial for Jeanette Hyla created by: Rita & Lee Gordon on Jul 03, 2012 Find A Grave Memorial# 93001909. They did not have any Burial info, which may explain the duplication. Thank you for your hard work.

Thank You so much for posting his gravestone. It made me cry when I saw it on here. This is my Uncle who passed away at a young age of 39.

Are on the east side of the large tombstone.

On the west side is Elvina and John Flintrop. I added an area picture showing the large tombstone on to those memorials.

Not the first duplicate I made, I have been known to make duplicates of my own memorials, with duplicate pictures. :-)

I sent you some edits to put the plot location in the right place in the memorials. Someone requested pictures then the will show on the request list. And I don't have to look them up.

Thanks Phillip
