My name is Joan Shoffner|
I have lived all my life in Sidney,Ohio
I have been searching for my Family for 10 years.My Husband would go along with me to the cemetery. I take a lot of tombstone picture and put them on Find a Grave so that other people can find there family member.
*From Find a Grave's Help Page:
Transfer requests should be for direct relatives within four generations, this would be your great-grandparents, grandparents, parents, or siblings. Aunts, uncles, cousins, etc. do not fall into this category. Bulk surname requests should not be made
you can use my tombstone and personal picture just ask.

the photo you have posted to her, Find A Grave Memorial# 55187543, is for her son, Thomas Corwin Bonham.... the inscription has son of XXX Mary Bonham..... cannot make out first part, but his father was Jeremiah, may be just initials....

He is a distant cousin and was best man in my grandfather's wedding. I had sent an "edit" to you and the member that posted a duplicate memorial for him. The other member claimed his was posted "first." Not sure-just don't want to step on any toes.

Thank you for adding the photo of Thomas Day to the Find-A-Grave site.
Would you have any idea who might have added the birth and death information about Thomas Day to Find-A-Grave?
|Steve Salato||Thomas Day|
There is a Corp. Thomas Day buried in Mills Cemetery in Shelby County.
I am trying to find out if he might be my great-great-grandfather.
I have almost no information about my grandfather, other than he served in the Civil War, died in battle and, our family believes, had lived in Pennsylvania.
Find-A Grave says that he was born Aug. 23, 1823 in Pennsylvania and that he died Aug. 29, 1864 in Shelby County, the date of his discharge from service.
Could you tell me where you found that information?
Thank you for any help you might be able to provide.

Hi, I am a researcher for the Sultana passengers and I have found two different places for Charles T. Kruse which I am unable to actually read the headstone posted here and was wondering if you might be able to let me know what it says. This man never survived the steamboat that exploded on Mississippi River near Memphis TN. There is a place for him in their national cemetery and I noticed on this picture the headstone seems to read 1864 but that is all I can make out. I want to reference the correct person and would greatly appreciate any assistance.
