" Are All The Children In "

I think oftimes, as night draws nigh,
Of an old farmhouse on a hill,
Of a yard all wide and blossom-starred
Where the children played at will;
And when the night at last came down,
Hushing the merry din,
Mother would look around and ask,
"Are all the children in?

'This many and many a year since then,
And the old house on the hill
No longer echoes to childrens feet,
And the yard is still........so still;
But I see it all as the shadows creep,
And tho' many the years have been,
Since then I can still hear mother ask,
"Are all the children in?'

I wonder if when the shadows fall
On that last short, earthly day,
When we say good-bye to the world outside,
All tired from our childish play;
When we step out into that Other Land,
Where mother has long since been,
Will we hear her ask, just as of old-
"Are all the children in?"

Thank you!
Thank you so much for transferring Beulah Cooke's site to me. Crazy, all their family records, city directories, all read Cooke as their last name! and her husband Charles Louis Cooke went by Louis or Charles. I put his details after her obituary I posted on her site.

Thank you,

Nancy Garbero

Mary Tittle
There are two Mary Tittles in the Tittle Cemetery. I believe this one is a duplicate - can you double check your records?

I am a Cannon County descendant and Mary Elizabeth Nabors Tittle was born in 1852 and died in 1926.

She married George Washington Tittle born to David F. Tittle b. 12 Nov 1817 Warren Co. (now Cannon) and Margaret Nabors b. 04 Mar 1822. Margaret attended Lookout Valley Primitive Baptist Church. Her dad was Benjamin Nabors and her mom was Mary V. Sullivan.

Barbara Smith Dunn
-granddaughter of Maudie Virginia Tittle Smith b. to Samuel C. Tittle who married Sarah A. Lance b. to William Lance and Sarah A. Miller.

RE: Temperance Lewis Smith
I'm not concluding anything about it's truth. But if it is true, I'd like to know as she is one of my ancestors. I just don't add anything to my tree without documentation or at least a constellation of circumstantial evidence. Just because someone says a relationship exists isn't good enough. On Ancestry.com there are many many untrue "viruses" that spread.

I appreciate your work... we all do the best we can with what we have in my opinion.... Dates that reflect unknown to me only give a threaf of information, you will see that what has been enter if you recheck birth and death dates are provided...as a duplicate what I have entered reflects more information than unknown, that being the case I feel that removing what I have to reflect someone with and unknown B and D as well as place of b and d would not be appropriate....thank you for your help...
