|Interested in Family History/Genealogy. Enjoy the project of putting on data & photos. Will share photos but would appreciate a notice.|
I will admit to making errors in the beginning with the Find-a-grave guidelines, but hope I have corrected them.
Number collectors. Is there a contest to see who can get the most names on.
Incomplete data ie putting names on with minimal data & coming back several months later to put more data on.
Duplicates - & seeming unwillingness to remove them.
Not checking before putting on Names resulting in Duplicates & Dupes.
Dupes- predating ( back-dating whatever it is called ) & them claiming mine is a dupe.
Any pictures put on the sites with my public
name on them were taken by me. The only exceptions are the ones from other sites with their permission & about a 100 for the Durham Cemetery. The memory stick was given to me by Kim,.

Nope, they must go into the cemetery corrections thread in the forums.

Don't you just hate the magic backdating? I agree with Yandeau, refer them to the admins, who can see the history of the memorials and can put the clamps on PDQ.
Entirely different situation here.
If somebody backdates and dupes your memorials and then claim yours are dupes, then send to admin with your memorial numbers and if it is happening often the other person will be off the site temporarily or for good. Problem solved.
Just keep track of your memorial numbers and admin wil restore your memorials.

I'm sorry for the confusion. I left the message to let you know that I made some edit requests and there would probably be more coming later for other members of the family as well.

There are many Hunters in the Mount Forest Cemetery. Let me know if there are any that you are looking for.
|Annabelle ||Thank you for the info on my ancestors|
I am one descendant of the Fox family which includes: Mary Elizabeth Fox, Thomas Young Fox and Mary Lauire Firth Fox ect. in the Trinity Anglican Cemetery in Grey County.
This is a branch of the family that we have not had *any* information on. Now we know where they are all buried AND have filled in much needed birth and death dates.
THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!
|Terry G||RE: re georgina Lawson Burgess|
Yes, you are welcome to use my photo of Georgina LAWSON BURGESS's head stone. Thank you for asking.
The headstones for her parents, William LAWSON d. 1908 and Georgina BURGESS d.1898, and for her uncle Gordon BURGESS d. 1895 are next to this grave in Durham Cemetery.
Georgina's husband's grave, Thomas S BURGESS d. 1924 is in Southampton cemetery in Bruce County, Ont.
