Bio and Links
Bio Photo Retired elementary teacher who is really "into family genealogy" and enjoys helping others with research. Enjoy fishing with my husband and being with 5 grandchildren who are involved in sports. Keeps us busy. Please feel free to use any of the photos I take on your family tree or copy them if you choose. You do not have to "give me credit" and don't have to use my name. It is an honor to volunteer to do this and hopefully helps others as much as it has helped me.
Note for 2014 - I have finished taking pictures at Fairmount Cemetery in Cape Girardeau and placed them on the memorial pages. Some tombstones were not "readable" so 100% is impossible. My new goal is to photograph all graves at New Lorimier. As of Sept. 2014 - one more section to go .

RE: Hannah Travis
Thank you. It's nice to know the grave is marked, I wondered about that. I see so many graves marked with field rocks or metal posts. I search the old newspapers at Chronicling America website. I make a point to add memorial pages for the people I find there who are not listed on Find-a-Grave.

RE: Sarah Dietiker
We need to get findagrave to combine them sense so much info is on mine but yours was first. That way the siblings stay with it. I will go in and change my memorial to the current name with an explanation on the first marriage and will add the husband you was so kind to find. Sense he was still alive when she remarried there must have been a divorce. I added all of this to my own personal file also.
Thank you so much for your help.
I live in Marble, AR so quite a ways from where you lived but I have been there several times.

RE: Sarah Dietiker
It looks like it may be the same person however I do not have info on a second marriage. Both she and her husband John Dietiker died in Cape Girardeau. He died prior to her in 1979 and they had one son Robert Marion Dietiker born in 1938. I have that she was buried apr 7, 1996 but not sure where I got that info. Sarah's parents were Louis Alexander Pippin and Lucy Belle Siliven. The Siliven line is part of my family. AKA Sullivan.

Hello - do you know the date of birth for Dorothy Davenport - buried New Lorimier Cemetery here in Cape Girardeau? I am in the process of updating the records on findagrave and noticed you placed a memorial for her. I cannot find when she was born on any of the records. Thanks for your help. Ruth Smith

I have no idea as to birth date. Looked at family search, no luck. My best suggestion is to check the cemetery records or the local genealogical society, they may have her death certificate.
Sorry that I couldn't help more. Laurel

RE: Minnola Burns
Hi Ruth,
Thanks for looking for Minnola's grave. It's disappointing there's no marker but I appreciate your prompt reply.
