My name is Dana Gilbert and I live in Kansas City, KS. I am very new to the Find A Grave community. I am very happy to be a part of such an organization. I have recently begun to research my family and have found FAG to be a wonderful resource. More importantly though, it allows all of us to honor our ancestors in a way that often is geographically impossible to the majority of folks.|
My searches began in the Kansas, Missouri, Nebraska and Colorado areas yet moved quickly throughout the United States. It was very gratifying to easily visit a memorial for a distant relative on the East and West coasts.
The primary family surnames I am researching are Cates, Hemenover, Morris, Adams, Glover, Skinner, Rhodes and Swope.
At this moment I am not taking photo requests. As I become more proficient in my research, I will be changing my status.

Added the info you sent about Mary Deguire at Cape County memorial. I'd be glad to transfer it to you if you would like. Ruth

I have no idea if you use the proper genealogy and legal method of dating.....Day, Month, year or if you use the common everyday way. So therefore I could not figure out the dates you sent.
I have transferred the Rhodes memorials to you. That way you can make any corrections you might have in the future.
WELCOME to Find-A-Grave it is a wonderful site.

Glad to add parents for Ruth Short. Would you like for me to transfer her page to you?
Just let me know. I agree with you on your bio about how helpful this website has been. It seems like lots of time when I go out to take pictures for someone else, I come home to find one of my requests has been fulfilled. Awesome!

Hi Dana.. WELCOME TO FIND A GRAVE !!! and thank you for the additional info on George & Elizabeth.. I plan on getting to Malcolm cemetery to start photographing within the next few weeks and will get photos of their headstones for you as well.. I'll let you know when I get them uploaded..
I was working on Columbia Cemetery and just by chance the cemetery record listed the burial place of the Skinner children's parents.. so I went ahead and created those two memorials for them.. I'm so glad that enabled you to find them even without the birth and death dates..
I will also keep an eye out here in Williams county for any other Skinners that I may come across and send them your way..
Happy Ancestor Hunting to you..
