If there is a photo on a memorial I entered, that belongs to another person, please ask for their permission before using it also. Thank you for your understanding on this matter.

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE

PLEASE USE THE "Edit" tab to communicate about a specific memorial, PLEASE. If you don't know how to do this just ask. Because I get so many requests a week I need to update memorials quickly and the "Edit" tab allows this.

PLEASE send me any additional info, updates and corrections (please provide documentation)on any memorial I have entered,*by using the "Edit" tab*. Happy to transfer a family member in your direct line, as far as four generations out....IF that person is not in my direct line.

If you ask for a transfer, correction or additional info to be posted on a memorial by using a message on this home page....it may or may not get done. By using the "Edit" tab it'll be done quickly.

***NOTE** I do not link to memorials with "Unknown" burial location. This is FIND a grave so if you can't FIND it, I can't link to it. The rules state that the burial location must be added in 30 days, then I'll be happy to link to it. This is not a free family tree site.

Thanks to all who have sent me info AND especially those who have taken photos and posted them.

Sylvia

I have never been in the Cross plains UMC Cemetery. The picture that I submitted for Mr. Traughber's memorial was taken in Springfield/Robertson County Memorial Gardens located across the highway from the Robertson County Co-Op. I have made my share of errors on this web site but I am certain of this marker's location.

I have relocated to Nolensville, TN this past month and am wandering the cemeteries here. I really appreciate all the great work you are doing for Find A Grave. Have a great Memorial Day.

I cannot be sure if this is the correct Holman Cemetery without a picture of his headstone. I believe his brother-in-law Cullen Morris King is buried in the same cemetery. Once the headstone is found then he can be located properly.

I corrected the information on his wife's memorial.

FAG MEMORIALS
I am sure you have a personal value for Find A Grave or you would not be working so hard to create the memorials for families to view and reference for their ancestors and family.
I have been unable to locate the grave or even the date of death for my 2nd g-grandmother in East Tennessee, so I know the excitement in finding a memorial and the disappointment when that is not possible.
I have seen many of your memorials documented by death certificates and I must take this opportunity to say GREAT JOB!
Even when there is no remaining stone those families have a certain answer as to, at least, the cemetery they are at.
All the hard work, does matter.

Quick question
Hi Sylvia!

Just got a quick (maybe dumb!) question. If a date on a gravestone has a star before the date and a cross after the date (an example is memorial #121638336)does that mean they died at birth? Same date for date of birth and death?

Thanks so much! Hope you are doing well.

SLW: Thank you for the obituary for Robert. I didn't find the name of his parents on it.

RE: Thanks!
You are so welcome and I do agree with the use of the Death Certificate date. I appreciate all your kind words. Take care. :)

Gassie Russell Rose
Hi Sylvia,

I got your edit to change Gassie's name to Gussie. Do you have any reason to believe that Gussie is the correct spelling? The only records I came across of her were the 1900 census and her death certificate. It is hard to read, but the second letter of her name on the certificate is an "a." The 1900 census lists her aS Gasea, which is probably closer to her actual name, whatever it was.

Sullivan Cemetery
After telling you quite some time ago that I would make photos of the Sullivan cemetery in Macon County, I was finally able to do that this afternoon. I have posted them on find a grave but the photos of the cemetery itself, haven't been posted yet.
